How to Bulk Import Fixed Assets Using an Excel File

How to import fixed assets in bulk using an Excel template.

Steps:

1. Access the Fixed Assets page:

   • From the dropdown menu “Fixed Assets”, select “Fixed Assets”.

2. Start the import process:

   • Click on “Import” from the top options.

3. Download the Excel template:

   • In Step 1, download the Excel template.

4. Prepare the Excel template:

   • Specify the number of assets to import and click on “Download Template”.

5. Fill in the asset data in the Excel template:
   
   Enter the following data in the template:

   Field	Description
   Asset Reference Number	Unique identifier for each asset
   Asset Classification	Classification associated with the asset
   Arabic Name	Name of the asset in Arabic
   English Name	Name of the asset in English
   Description (Optional)	Additional description of the asset
   Unit of Measurement	Unit used for the asset
   Tax	Tax rate applied
   Barcode (Optional)	Asset barcode if available
   Purchase Price	Cost of asset purchase
   Scrap Value (Optional)	Value of the asset after the end of its useful life (for depreciable assets)

6. Import the data:

   • After filling in the template, click on “Import”.

Notes:

• In case of errors:
  You will receive an email message explaining the errors for correction and file reupload.

• In case of successful import:
  The fixed assets will be successfully added to the system.
