When Can You Edit Asset Data in Qoyod? What Data Is Locked and How to Move Assets Between Categories

Explanation of when you can edit registered asset data and when editing is limited due to transactions on it.

Answer:

You can edit the registered asset data if there are no transactions on it.

1. If there are no transactions:

   • Go to Fixed Assets

   • Click Edit next to the asset

   • Edit the data easily

2. If there are transactions on the asset:

   • You can edit some data by clicking Edit next to the asset, such as:

     • Arabic name, English name, Tax, Reference number, Description, Barcode.

   • You cannot edit some data such as:

     • Asset Classification

     • Unit of Measurement

     • Useful Life

   • To solve it:

     • Delete the transactions related to the asset

     • Then edit the required data

Additional Notes:

• Partial editing is limited if there are transactions, such as: Arabic name, English name, Tax, Reference number, Description, Barcode.
