Why Manual Accounting Entries and Opening Balances Don’t Appear on the Dashboard and How to Track Their Impact Through Reports

Manual accounting entries are not reflected on the dashboard or charts.

Steps

  1. Where do manual entries appear?

    • Manual accounting entries appear only in reports and are not reflected on the dashboard.
    • Opening balances for customers and suppliers do not appear on the dashboard and appear in the account statements for customers and suppliers.
  2. Dashboard content

    • All charts on the dashboard such as invoices, revenue, expenses, customers, and suppliers do not include manual entries or opening balances.

Additional notes

  • If you need to track manual entries, use reports instead of the dashboard.
  • Manual entries do not affect the dashboard and cannot be assigned to invoices. For example, if you create a manual entry to pay a supplier, it will not be reflected on the dashboard and cannot be linked to an invoice, but it will naturally affect the account statement.
