How the Hala Payment Device Works with Qoyod POS

The payment device provided by Qoyod partners, what it does, how it connects to the Qoyod POS app, and how to run a sale on it.

What the device does

The device brings everything together in one place:

• Daily sales management.
• Receive payments.
• Record transactions in the accounting system.

Hala states that the device is compatible with Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) requirements and VAT, and that it gives you accurate tracking of expenses and invoices.

Eligibility and setup

• Hala states that funds are transferred directly to an e-wallet without many requirements, and that you can withdraw them immediately if you have an active commercial registration or a valid freelance license.
• Hala states that the device is ready to work within 24 hours.
• Each point of sale can be connected to one e-wallet, and the device includes the Qoyod POS application.

How the device works with the POS system

• Once the device is connected with the POS application, each sale is recorded automatically in your Qoyod account.

• The device comes with a card to activate the e-wallet directly.

POS is fully integrated with the accounting system and all data, so you will see the products added to the system and their quantities, as well as customers and all system data, and invoices and payments will be directly and automatically reflected from POS to the accounting system.

First time starting the device

1. Open the Qoyod POS application.
2. Enter username and password.
3. Choose the business name.
4. Enter the PIN number.

Connecting the application with Hala

1. Open your Qoyod account from your laptop via the website.
2. Open the electronic integration settings, where your connected applications are listed.
3. The Hala application appears in the list. This means the connection was successful.

How to execute a sale transaction

1. Create an invoice from the POS application.
2. Click pay.
3. The HALA payment option appears.
4. Enter the amount and click confirm.
5. The HALA payment page will open automatically.
6. Place the card on the device.
7. Enter the card’s PIN number.
8. A successful payment message appears.

After payment

1. You can print a Visa invoice.
2. And print a Qoyod invoice.
3. The printer is recognized automatically. You don’t need any manual setup or configuration.

Plans and POS users

Hala device and Qoyod POS system are available for all plans, with no restrictions based on plan type. This means with any Qoyod plan you choose, you can enable POS, connect the Hala device, and benefit from all features:

• Issuing invoices.
• Inventory integration.
• Receiving payments.
• Automatic transaction recording in the system.

The number of payment devices must equal the number of POS users. For example, if you have a POS system in Qoyod with only one user and you request 5 payment devices, you need 4 additional POS user add-ons, because each additional device requires an additional user.
