This article explains the tax types available in Qoyod and how to create a new tax, including the tax codes approved by ZATCA (Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority).

Tax types in Qoyod

• Value Added Tax: 15%.
• Exempt Tax: 0%.
• Zero-rated Tax: 0%.

Create a new tax

1. Click the “Create Tax (+)” icon.
2. Fill in the required fields (see the next section).
3. Save.

Fields

• Account: from within the current liabilities accounts.
• Name in Arabic and English.
• Tax Code: 4 codes approved by ZATCA:
  • S: Standard Rate.
  • Z: Zero Tax Rate.
  • E: Exempted Rate.
  • O: Out of Scope.
• Rate %: the tax rate to apply.

Notes

• Tax code O does not appear on the tax return because it is out of scope.
