This article explains how to record manual depreciation for fixed assets in Qoyod, allowing you to enter the depreciation value manually instead of using automatic calculation.

Fixed Assets › Depreciation › Add Depreciation
Step 1: Set the Category to “Manual Depreciation”
- From the “Fixed Assets” dropdown menu, open “Fixed Assets”.
- Click “Asset Categories”.
- Open the required asset category (or create a new one).
- Select the depreciation type: Manual Depreciation.
- Save the category.
Step 2: Add Manual Depreciation
- From the “Fixed Assets” dropdown menu, click “Depreciation”.
- Click “Add Depreciation”.
- Select the depreciation type: Manual.
- Fill in the required data:
- Asset name or asset category.
- Depreciation date.
- Depreciation value (entered manually).
- Click “Save”.
Notes
- Manual depreciation is useful for cases where automatic straight-line depreciation rules do not apply.
- The depreciation type in the category must be set to “Manual” before recording any manual depreciation on the asset.
