This article explains how to add a new employee in Qoyod through the tabs: employee profile, employment information, salary setup, and custom fields.

Employees Page Sections
The top of the employees page shows seven tiles:
- New Employee.
- Terminated Employees.
- Archived.
- Employee Documents.
- Employee Vouchers.
- Work Schedule.
- Social Insurance.
Tab 1: Employee Profile
- First and last name in Arabic and English.
- Gender.
- Date of birth.
- Place of residence.
Tab 2: Employment Information
- Employee number: the staff number used in the organization.
- Join date.
- Cost type:
- Direct cost: for employees whose work and productivity tie directly to operations (such as a production worker).
- Indirect cost: for employees whose salaries are not affected by productivity (such as accountants and general administration).
- Job title.
- Department.
- Direct manager.
- Education level and description.
Salary Setup
This section is mandatory. Without it, you cannot save the employee or include them in payroll runs.
- First and last salary dates: the employee’s join date and contract end date.
- Pay cycle: daily, weekly, or monthly.
- Base salary type: hourly wage or monthly salary.
- Allowances: fixed monthly amount or a percentage of the base salary.
- Recurring deductions.
