Adding a New Employee

This article explains how to add a new employee in Qoyod through the tabs: employee profile, employment information, salary setup, and custom fields.

Employees Page Sections

The top of the employees page shows seven tiles:

  • New Employee.
  • Terminated Employees.
  • Archived.
  • Employee Documents.
  • Employee Vouchers.
  • Work Schedule.
  • Social Insurance.

Tab 1: Employee Profile

  • First and last name in Arabic and English.
  • Gender.
  • Date of birth.
  • Place of residence.

Tab 2: Employment Information

  • Employee number: the staff number used in the organization.
  • Join date.
  • Cost type:
    • Direct cost: for employees whose work and productivity tie directly to operations (such as a production worker).
    • Indirect cost: for employees whose salaries are not affected by productivity (such as accountants and general administration).
  • Job title.
  • Department.
  • Direct manager.
  • Education level and description.

Salary Setup

This section is mandatory. Without it, you cannot save the employee or include them in payroll runs.

  • First and last salary dates: the employee’s join date and contract end date.
  • Pay cycle: daily, weekly, or monthly.
  • Base salary type: hourly wage or monthly salary.
  • Allowances: fixed monthly amount or a percentage of the base salary.
  • Recurring deductions.
