- Missing hours: hours or days the employee is absent from the workplace.
Pay Schedule
The “Edit” icon lets the payroll administrator control the pay schedule and change its settings. The pay cycle can be:
- Daily.
- Weekly.
- Monthly.
After editing, click “Continue” to save.
Salary Components
This section sets the accounts linked to each salary component:
- Employee dues.
- Direct-cost salaries.
- General salaries.
- Bonuses and deductions.
Direct vs. Indirect Cost
- Direct cost: items spent directly on the product and easily assignable to it (such as a factory worker’s salary). Linked to the “Salaries and Wages” expense account.
- Indirect cost: items hard to assign directly to the final product (such as a department manager’s salary). Linked to the “Administrative Salaries and Fees” expense account.
