The five product types
- Product: sold and purchased in its original state, and may be part of a bundled product sold at a single price.
- Bundled product: several products that go into the composition of one final product (example: milk is part of bundled coffee). It can be a component in another bundled product.
- Raw material: used in manufacturing another product and not sold separately. Example: wood for making tables.
- Service: for services provided such as consulting or photography.
- Expense: for electricity, water, and similar expenses, or to add a fixed asset such as buildings and vehicles.
Common initial data
- Product name in Arabic and/or English.
- Unique serial number (such as RQA248): or it can be generated automatically.
- Description (optional).
- To return to the product type selection page, click “First Step” in green.
Product categories
A product cannot be added without specifying a category for it. Categories help organize products into groups (for example: a “Fruits” category includes oranges, bananas, and apples). To manage categories, use the “Product Categories” page from the Products and Costs menu.
