Reports Balance Sheet

What the balance sheet is

A financial statement that shows what the company owns and owes at a specific point in time: assets, liabilities to third parties, and owners’ equity. It helps the business owner understand:

  • The company’s financial position.
  • Net capital.
  • The ratio of liabilities to assets.
  • The company’s ability to settle its obligations.

Display and comparison options

  • Compare the balance sheet against a previous period: week, month, quarter, or year.
  • Choose how many comparison periods to include.
  • Set the account level to display.
  • Show only the account type without the details.

Advanced analysis

You can surface specific items from assets, liabilities, and equity through the Filter option:

  • Custom fields: e.g., view the statement of financial position for a specific branch.
  • Products.
  • Projects.
  • Customers or suppliers.
  • Employees.
  • Branches and warehouses.

Dimensions

The Dimensions feature lets you compare the statement of financial position across several items at once by selecting multiple custom fields, products, projects, or customers/suppliers.
