Units of Measure

This article explains the purpose of units of measure in Qoyod and how to add a new unit to manage products and inventory more precisely.

Why units of measure matter

Units of measure let you link a product to a specific unit (piece, carton, box, liter, etc.) to simplify invoicing and inventory management. They are also used later in the Unit Conversion feature, which lets you purchase a product in one unit (such as a case of water) and sell it in another (bottle or piece).

Add a new unit of measure

1. From the “Products & Costs” dropdown, select “Products & Costs”.
2. At the top of the page, click “Units of Measure”.
3. The page shows the units already available in Qoyod, plus any units the user has added.
4. Click “Add Unit of Measure” at the top of the screen.
5. Enter the new unit details.
6. Click “Save”.

Edit or delete a unit of measure

Next to each unit on the page you will find edit and delete icons. Use them to update the unit details or remove it.
