Manufacturing Order

This article explains how to create a new manufacturing order in Qoyod, the steps required beforehand, and the automatic check of quantity availability before executing the manufacturing.

When to use a manufacturing order

A manufacturing order is used to add an order to produce and prepare a new bundled product based on the quantities expected to be sold during a period of time. The process is carried out periodically whenever the specified period or quantities run out.

Requirements before creating a manufacturing order

1. Add the product or raw material that goes into manufacturing.
2. Add the bundled product that depends on these components.
3. Create a purchase invoice with the products and raw materials that go into preparing the bundled product (the bundled product itself is not purchased).
4. Add a new manufacturing order.
5. Add a sales invoice for the bundled product after completing the manufacturing.

Steps to add a manufacturing order

1. From the “Products and Costs” dropdown menu, click the (+) icon next to “Manufacturing Order.”
2. Click “Create Manufacturing Order” at the top left of the page.
3. Fill in the data (see the next section).
4. Click “Save.”

Required fields

• Date.
• Description (optional).
• Location: once specified, an “Add More” icon appears to display all products available in the warehouse.
• Products and quantities: for each product you want to manufacture.

Automatic check of component availability

When the product and quantity are specified, the system automatically checks the availability of components in the warehouse. If there is a shortage, a detailed alert appears containing:

• Component name: the missing product or raw material.
• Required quantity: needed to execute the manufacturing order.
• Available quantity: the inventory currently available.
• Shortage: the difference between the required and available quantities.

• If there is a shortage, additional quantities must be purchased before executing the manufacturing.
