Guide to WPOS (Web POS) Settings Sections and Settings Scope

A guide to the WPOS (Web POS) settings sections in Qoyod, and how to customize the settings for each branch independently.

Accessing the settings

WPOS Settings

Settings sections

  • Profile: name, email, change password and PIN, enable two-factor authentication.
  • General Settings: language, time zone, general preferences for running WPOS.
  • Printing Preferences: printing preferences and watermark on printed copies.
  • Receipt Customization: receipt header and footer, custom wording.
  • Credit Note Customization: Credit Note header and footer.
  • Transaction Defaults: default payment method, tax and discount settings.

Settings Scope

Each settings section supports a “Choose Settings Scope” option that determines whether the settings are:

  • Global: applied to all branches.
  • Custom: different for each location/branch.

Each section is managed independently, so for example “Receipt Customization” can be specific to a particular branch while “General Settings” are global across all branches.

Saving changes

In any section, the available buttons are:

  • Save: to apply the changes.
  • Cancel: to exit without saving.
  • Reset to Default: to cancel all customizations and return to Qoyod’s default settings.

Unsaved Changes alert

  • When trying to exit a section without saving the changes, the system shows an “Unsaved Changes” alert that requests confirmation before leaving.
