How to Use the Point of Sale App

This article explains how to use the Qoyod Point of Sale app on Android devices, from sign-in and offline mode to the three main screens: Invoices, New Invoice, and Settings.

App requirements

  • Runs on Android version 7 and above.
  • Supports offline mode, provided that data has been synced beforehand over an internet connection so all records are visible.

Sign-in

  1. Sign in with the same credentials as your Qoyod account (for users with Point of Sale enabled).
  2. If you have more than one organization, select the one you want to work on.
  3. Enter your PIN: a 4-digit code set during your first sign-in.

Main screens in the app

1. Invoices

Displays the list of Point of Sale invoices for the locations the user has permission to access.

  • Search: by Point of Sale number, invoice number, Customer name, or product.
  • Filter: Paid, Partially paid, Unpaid.
  • Invoice preview shows: reference, creation date, Customer name, phone, product list, subtotal, VAT, and total amount.

2. New Invoice

Displays all products and items added in the organization, with the quantities available at the location assigned to the user.

  • Filter: by category.
  • Search: by name, barcode, or serial number.
  • Scan barcode: using the device camera or a barcode reader.
  • Add product: a single tap on the product adds it to the Invoice.
  • Edit quantity or price: a double tap on the product opens the “Cart”.

Downloading the Invoice

You can download the Invoice directly on the device after issuing it.
