Qoyod POS for Android now supports seven app languages, with a light or dark theme that each user picks for themselves. Every cashier works in the language they know best, and the choice follows them to any device they sign in from.
The seven languages
Arabic, English, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, French and Simplified Chinese.
What is new
- A language for each user, saved to their account. On a shared device, the screen switches to each cashier’s own language when they sign in with their PIN.
- System messages from Qoyod, such as errors and validations, arrive in the user’s language.
- Right-to-left layout for Arabic and Urdu, left-to-right for every other language.
- A Light, Dark or System default theme, saved per user.
How to change the language and theme
- Open Settings, then Profile.
- Tap Language and choose a language. The app restarts in that language.
- Under Theme, choose Light, Dark or System default.
The language picker is also on the sign-in screens, which have a quick theme toggle. Nothing to set up and no permission needed: every user changes their own language and theme.
Good to know
- The Web POS offers Arabic and English only, and your choice between the two is saved to your account.
- Product, category, account, tax and branch names exist in Arabic and English only. They appear in Arabic when the app is in Arabic, and in English for every other language.
- Receipts print in Arabic or English according to the receipt printing language setting, whatever the screen language.
Who it is for
Shops, restaurants and retail chains with multinational cashier teams, and cashiers on long or night shifts. It helps with faster training for new cashiers, fewer mistakes at the till, and a dark theme for low-light counters.
