How to Edit an Asset Classification in Qoyod

Instructions for modifying an asset classification in Qoyod.

1. If there are no transactions on the asset:

   • Go to the Fixed Assets menu.
   • Click Edit next to the asset whose classification you want to modify.
   • Modify the new classification.
   • Click Save to complete the modification.

2. If there are transactions on the asset:

   • If there are transactions related to the asset, you will not be able to modify the classification or delete the asset directly.
   • You must first delete all transactions associated with the asset.
   • After deleting the transactions, you can modify the classification and save the changes.

3. If deletion is not possible and it is necessary to modify the classification:

   • If you cannot delete the transactions or if it is necessary to modify the classification, you can submit a technical support request.
   • Make sure to add a Qoyod support user.
   • Provide us with the asset serial number and the new classification in the support request so the technical team can attempt the modification.
