Tax Registration Address Alert
Everything you need to know about the “Incomplete Tax Registration Address” window — when it appears, how to handle it, and which fields are required.
What is this window?
When saving or approving a business document, if the customer’s tax registration address contains missing fields, an alert window appears that lets you complete the information directly without leaving the document. The alert is not mandatory — you can proceed without entering any data and invoicing will not be blocked.
Purpose: Reduce alerts and errors from ZATCA due to missing address data in e-invoices, while maintaining a flexible and unobstructed user experience.
When exactly does the alert appear?
The alert appears when both conditions are met:
Customer Type
A taxable customer or one with a tax number (B2B), or a government entity (B2G)
Address is incomplete
One of the required fields in the customer’s tax registration address is empty or incomplete
Time of appearance
When clicking Save as Draft or Save and Approve
Required fields — customers within Saudi Arabia
Street name → BT-50 (required for all customers)
Building number → KSA-18 (specific to Saudi Arabia customers)
Postal code → BT-53 (specific to Saudi Arabia customers)
City → BT-52 (required for all customers)
District / Region → KSA-4 (specific to Saudi Arabia customers)
Country → BT-55 (required for all customers)

Street name → BT-50
City → BT-52

How to handle the window step by step
1. The window appears when saving or approving
A clear message displays that the customer’s tax registration address is incomplete, with the empty fields specifically identified based on the customer’s location (within or outside Saudi Arabia).
2. Complete the missing fields directly in the window
Only empty fields appear — you won’t be asked for data that already exists. Enter the missing data without needing to leave the document or open the customer page.
3. Click “Yes, Continue”
The following happens automatically: Validate fields ← Save them to the document ← Update customer data ← Complete the save or approval process.
Want to proceed without entering the data?
Click “Cancel” — the document will not be blocked in any case. The alert is advisory only and not mandatory.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the alert mandatory? Does it block invoicing?
No. The alert is advisory only and not mandatory. You can close it and proceed to issue the invoice without entering any data, and no process will be blocked.
Does customer data get updated when saving from the window?
Yes. When you click “Yes, Continue” the data is saved to the current document and automatically updated in the customer record at the same time.
Why does the window appear for some customers but not others?
The alert appears only for customers subject to tax or government entities (B2B / B2G). Individual customers or non-taxable customers do not see this window.
Can I always ignore the alert?
Yes, you can ignore it, but it is recommended to complete the missing data to avoid any alerts or errors when sending the invoice to ZATCA.
What is the difference between address requirements for customers inside and outside Saudi Arabia?
Customers inside Saudi Arabia need 6 fields:
Street name, building number, postal code, city, district/region, and country.
Customers outside Saudi Arabia need only 3 fields:
Street name, city, and country.
