Reasons that prevent account sub-division:

1. An account that allows payments and collections:

   • If the account is listed as a payment and collection account (such as a cash account), it cannot be subdivided.

2. Account linked to a location or product:

   • If the account is linked to a location or product in the system, it will be prevented from being subdivided.

3. Existing transactions on the account:

   • If financial transactions or accounting entries have been recorded on the account previously, it cannot be subdivided.
