Paying Sales Invoices with Multiple Payment Methods and Creating Separate Vouchers for Each Payment

Clarification on the ability to pay the invoice in more than one way, where you can pay the invoice using two parts: a cash portion and a bank portion, by following these steps:

Steps to pay the invoice using more than one payment method:

    • When creating the invoice, collect the partial payment (cash) first.
    • When creating the voucher for this payment in the vouchers list of the invoice, select the cash account and enter the cash amount.
    • Click Save, and the invoice status will be “Partially Paid”.
    • Then click Pay Against Invoice, and create a new voucher using the bank account for the remaining payment.
    • Alternative method: You can save the invoice first, then make two separate payments, the first with the cash payment and the second with the bank payment.

Additional Notes:

  • Ensure that vouchers are correctly allocated to each payment (cash and bank).
  • When the invoice is fully paid, the invoice status will show “Paid”.
