How to Cancel Price Quotes Without Affecting Inventory or Financial Accounts

Guidelines on the Impact of Canceling a Quote in the System.

When you click “Cancel” on a quote:

  • Accounting records are not affected because the quote has not been converted to an invoice yet, which means you can cancel the quote as long as it has not been invoiced.
  • The quote is saved as “canceled” in the system, which means it will remain visible but with a canceled status.
  • Inventory and financial records related to the canceled quote are not modified.

Additional Notes:

  • You can always return to the canceled quote and view its details.
  • If the quote has been converted to an invoice, the option to cancel the quote will not be available to you.
