Impact of Changing Customer Data on Old and New Invoices

Guidelines on how modifying customer data affects old and new invoices.:

  • You can modify customer data by going to the Customers menu, then clicking Edit next to the customer name and entering the new data.

  • Modifying the Tax Number or Customer Name will only appear in future invoices and will not affect previously issued old invoices. However, modifying or adding the Address, Primary or Secondary Mobile Number, Primary or Secondary Email, Business Name, or Reference Number will appear with the new data on all invoices (old and new).

  • If you want to issue an invoice with the correct data, you can reverse the old invoice and issue a new invoice with the modified data.

Additional Notes:

  • Make sure to review customer data before issuing invoices to avoid the need for modifications later.

  • Modifying the Tax Number and Customer Name will be reflected only in new invoices and previously issued invoices in Draft or Pending Approval status. However, modifying or adding the Address, Primary or Secondary Mobile Number, Primary or Secondary Email, Business Name, or Reference Number will appear with the new data on all invoices, including old ones.

  • To disable the option “Is the business subject to tax?” and remove the customer’s tax status, you must first delete the Tax Number registered in the customer data. Keep in mind that

    modifying the Tax Number will be reflected only in new invoices and new credit notes.
