Edit and Review Budget Details: Import, Export, Monthly/Quarterly Allocation, and Main Account Restrictions

Explanation of how to access budget details, modify values, export and import data, and use financial periods by months or quarters within the budgets page.

Procedures to follow:

Customer response:

You can view and modify budget details from the same “Budget Management” page by following the steps below:

First: Accessing the budget details page

  1. From the Accounting menu > select Budget Management

  2. Click on the required budget

  3. A page will open containing all previously recorded details such as the fiscal year, accounts, and periods

Second: Available actions within the page

  • Import: You can add data from an external file

  • Export: You can export data as PDF or Excel and then print the budget.

  • Archive: Stop editing the budget

  • Reset: Restore values to their original state

Third: Budget details

  • Budget name

  • Type of related accounts

  • Fiscal year

  • Display method: Monthly or quarterly

Fourth: Table display

  • Displays all items related to the budget

  • You can expand or collapse the items

  • Includes:

    • Account code

    • Account name

    • Columns by months or quarters

Examples:

  • January as the start of the fiscal year + monthly: displays from January to December

  • April as the start + monthly: displays from April to March

  • January + quarters:

    • First quarter: January – March

    • Second quarter: April – June

    • Third quarter: July – September

    • Fourth quarter: October – December

  • April + quarters:

    • First quarter: April – June

    • Second quarter: July – September

    • Third quarter: October – December

    • Fourth quarter: January – March

Fifth: Modifying values in the budget

  • You can edit directly in the cells

  • The total is updated automatically

  • Only numbers are accepted (no symbols or letters)

  • You can click on “Allocate” to link the amount to specific dimensions (if enabled)

  • Reset is available to restore the values

Sixth: Final actions

  • Save: to confirm modifications

  • Cancel: to cancel modifications

  • Navigate between cells using arrows or Tab

Additional notes:

  • Editing is only done on sub-accounts

  • The entered numbers appear directly in the main accounts as a sum
