Product Details Page, Detailed Explanation
How to Access the Page
The product details page is accessed through:
- Go to Products and Costs from the dropdown menu
- Then click on the “View” option next to the product
Data Displayed in the Product Details Page
First: Basic Product Information
At the top of the page, the basic product information is displayed, which includes:
- The default selling price used in sales (inclusive or exclusive of tax) which was added during product setup
- The purchase price recorded in the system during product setup
- The detailed product description (if added during creation)
- Product type (regular product / service / bundled product)
- Tax rate applied and reason for exemption if any
- Sales account linked to sales transactions
- Options for product visibility in POS
Barcode:
- If a barcode is added to the product, it will appear below the basic data
- It includes:
- Business name
- Product name
- Selling price
- Barcode image and number
- You can download the barcode image via the option: save/download as PNG
Second: Inventory Quantities by Location
This section displays the distribution of product inventory across different locations and branches, and includes for each location:
- Current available quantity (in units)
- Average unit cost
- Total inventory value at the location
Important Note:
- When you click on the location name, the inventory movement report for that location opens
Third: Detailed Tabs
1) Recent Transactions Tab
Displays the latest transactions related to the product, such as:
- Sales invoices
- Purchase invoices
- Debit notes
- Price quotes
And for each transaction, it includes:
- Date
- Reference
- Description
- Quantity
- Unit price
- Discount
- Total
Finding the Old Price:
- You can refer to this tab
- Review the unit price column in previous transactions
- To find out the actual price used in each period
Note:
- Data export is not available in the recent transactions tab
2) Internal Movements Tab
Displays internal operations that affect inventory without sales or purchases, such as:
- Inventory transfers between locations
- Inventory count
- Product property modifications
3) Unit Conversion Tab
Appears only if the product has additional units, and displays:
- The relationship between units (example: 1 box = 12 pieces)
- Purchase price for each unit
- Selling price for each unit
- Barcode for each unit
4) Bundled Product Tab
Appears only if the product is of type bundled, and displays:
- Product components
- Quantity of each component required to produce one unit
Fourth: Action Buttons
At the top of the page, the following options are available:
- Transfer Inventory: To transfer quantities between locations directly
- Back: To return to the products list
