What are Invoice Tags (Statuses)?
Invoice tags are automatic labels that appear on each invoice card to reflect its actual status whenever any action is taken on it, without any intervention from you. Tags are added and updated automatically, helping you know the status of each invoice at a glance.
Note:
No action is needed to add or modify the tag—the system handles this automatically as soon as the invoice status changes.
The Three Supported Tags in POS Invoices
Overdue
The invoice exceeded its due date without full payment.
Returned
A credit note was issued for the full amount of the invoice.
Partially Returned
A credit note was issued for only part of the invoice amount.
Remember:
A single invoice can have more than one tag at the same time. For example, an invoice in “Approved” status may also carry an “Overdue” tag if it exceeds its due date.

Automatic Application
The tag is applied as soon as its associated condition is met—no manual intervention needed

The tag updates immediately when the invoice status changes—for example, “Overdue” disappears as soon as payment is made

How Do You Filter Invoices by Tag?
1. Open the Invoices List
Go to the Invoices section in POS and you’ll find the filter bar at the top of the page.
2. Click on the “Filter by Tag” Field
A dropdown menu will appear showing all available tags: Overdue, Returned, Partially Returned.
3. Select the Desired Tag
The list will automatically filter to show only invoices with this tag.
Common Use Cases
Filtering for “Overdue”
Track invoices that need immediate collection.
Filtering for “Returned”
Review invoices with full credit notes issued.
Filtering for “Partially Returned”
Track invoices with partial credit notes issued and possibly pending balances.

Do I Need to Add the Tag Manually?
No. All tags are added automatically as soon as their associated condition is met. Overdue appears automatically when the due date is exceeded, and Returned appears automatically when a credit note is issued—no manual action needed.
Is the Tag Updated If the Invoice Status Changes?
Yes. Tags update instantly when the invoice status changes. For example, if a late invoice is paid in full, the “Overdue” tag automatically disappears without any action from you.
What’s the Difference Between “Returned” and “Partially Returned”?
“Returned”:
The invoice is linked to a credit note covering the full invoice amount—meaning the full amount was refunded.
“Partially Returned”:
The invoice is linked to a credit note covering only part of the invoice amount—either there’s still an outstanding balance or only part of it was refunded.
