Challenges

Three accounting problems factories and workshops face

Raw materials come in, labor and electricity are consumed, finished goods go out at different prices. Qoyod solves three problems that drain every factory's or workshop's profitability.

Unit cost not known precisely

Variable raw-material prices, labor on different contracts, electricity, depreciation, and indirect costs — guessing the finished-product cost makes pricing unprofitable.

Three inventory types hard to track

Raw materials (RM), work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods (FG) — each with a different cost. Excel files aren't enough to manage the movement between them.

Profit margin erodes silently

Material prices rise, electricity goes up, and you keep selling at the old price. Without real-time reports, you only discover the loss in the year-end statements — after it's too late.

Solutions

Qoyod is built for production accounting

Four integrated accounting features: bill of materials, production costing, multi-layer inventory, and product profitability reports.

Bill of materials (BOM) per product

Define each product's recipe from raw materials, labor quantities, and its share of overhead. Each work order deducts materials and calculates the unit cost automatically.

  • Multi-level BOM
  • Automatic unit-cost calculation
  • Substitute support when a material runs out
  • Price updates refresh costs in real time

Work orders and actual costs

Create a work order with a specified quantity; Qoyod deducts materials from inventory on start and calculates the actual cost on completion — with a comparison against the standard cost.

  • Track every work order
  • Actual vs. standard cost
  • Alert when over budget
  • Automatic accounting entry for each stage

Three-layer inventory (RM · WIP · FG)

Separate tracking for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Know what you have at each layer and the value of each on the balance sheet.

  • Raw materials: purchase + consumption
  • WIP: value of in-flight work orders
  • FG: products ready to sell
  • Automatic accounting entry for every movement

Product and customer profitability reports

Know each product's profitability precisely after deducting all direct and indirect costs. Pricing and production-line decisions are based on real numbers.

  • Per-product profitability precisely
  • Per-customer profitability after discounts
  • Production profit per month
  • Exportable reports
Production report

Three inventory layers. Each one's value on the balance sheet.

Raw materials in the warehouse, work-in-progress on the shop floor, finished goods ready to ship — each layer valued in real time, and the actual-vs.-standard cost comparison is always clear.

  • Real-time value per inventory layer
  • Cost allocation with real proportions
  • Immediate alert when over budget

Have some questions?

Quick answers for production and manufacturing

Does Qoyod support a BOM for composite products?
Yes. You create each product's BOM with multiple levels (main raw material + sub-components + labor + overhead). Any change in a component's price updates the unit cost immediately.
How does Qoyod manage the three inventory layers (raw materials · WIP · finished goods)?
Qoyod separates inventory into three independent accounting layers: raw materials (RM), work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods (FG). Each work order moves values between layers via an automatic accounting entry.
Does Qoyod calculate overhead automatically?
Yes. You set the overhead allocation method (by hour, by unit, by material share), and Qoyod allocates electricity, rent, and depreciation to each work order precisely.
Does it compare actual cost to standard cost?
Yes. You set the standard cost for each product when you create the BOM. On work-order close, Qoyod calculates the actual cost and shows the variance for analysis: materials, labor, or overhead.
Are sales invoices ZATCA-compliant?
Yes. Every sales invoice for finished goods is issued in the ZATCA-certified e-invoicing format (Phase 1 and Phase 2), with a digital signature, QR code, and automatic submission to the platform.
How long does setup take before starting?
5 to 14 business days, depending on the number of products and BOM complexity. Setup includes: uploading raw materials, building BOMs, configuring cost centers, ZATCA settings, and training your team. The Pro Services offering is available for a complete setup by our team.
