The Product Locations Report is used to determine the quantities of products stored at each location (warehouse), whether in one location or multiple locations, displaying the quantity for each location and the total quantity, which helps with inventory counting, making purchasing decisions, transferring inventory between branches, and knowing available quantities at each location.
What does the Product Locations Report display?
The report displays only stocked products (and does not include non-stocked products or services), along with the following data:
-
Product serial number
-
Product name
-
Location name (warehouse)
-
Quantity available at each location
-
Total quantity across all locations
If you select more than one location:
A row appears for each product
A column appears for each location showing its quantity
Along with a total quantity column
On what basis is the quantity calculated?
The Product Locations Report is based on all inventory movements, including:
-
Sales invoices
-
Purchase invoices
-
Inventory transfers between locations
-
Inventory counts
-
Opening balances
-
Manufacturing orders
-
Credit or debit notes (in case of goods returns)
The Date Adopted in the Report
-
The report is based on the transaction date, not:
-
The invoice due date
-
Nor the invoice issuance date
-
Illustrative Example:
If a purchase invoice is created today with today’s issuance date, even if the issuance or due date is 7 days later,
the quantity will appear immediately in the report when the report is generated today.
