Why doesn’t the Qoyod app open on Jidea POS device?
If you’re trying to open the Qoyod app on a Jidea POS device and the app doesn’t respond or shows a connection error message, the most common reason is the lack of internet connection on the device.
What exactly is happening?
Jidea devices come equipped with a built-in SIM card, and many customers think this SIM provides internet for the device. In reality, this SIM is dedicated exclusively to Mada service and electronic payment operations only, and does not provide an internet connection that can be used to run other applications like Qoyod.
The Qoyod POS app needs an internet connection to communicate with the servers and display your data.
The solution:
Make sure your Jidea device is connected to the internet through any available method such as
-
Wi-Fi: Go to the device settings and connect to the available Wi-Fi network in your location.
After connecting to the internet, open the Qoyod app again and it will work normally.
Note: The Mada SIM card in the device has no relation to internet connection; its only function is to process card payment transactions.
