One invoice in the customer’s name with all their trips, and a receipt for every transfer that reaches the bank.
Whether your company is exempt from the invoicing mandate today or required to issue invoices, every trip gets a line on an invoice, and every transfer a receipt in its own account.
Accounting Software for Trucking in Jordan starts with a load that leaves a warehouse in Amman or Zarqa for a customer in Aqaba or Irbid, and a freight charge that does not arrive the same day. Set up each road freight trip in Qoyod as a service with its price, gather the customer’s trips on one sales invoice in their name, note each load’s destination and date in the line’s description, then record the transfer with a receipt into the bank account.
1. A month at a trucking company: where do the numbers scatter?
Before you choose accounting software for a road freight company in Jordan, look at an ordinary month: trip papers in the drivers’ hands, transfers that arrive late and in pieces, diesel and tyre bills from stations and suppliers, and trucks whose value today nobody knows.
Trip papers with the drivers
Every driver carries his trip papers, and they reach the office days later, so the invoice is late or a trip is missing from it.
With Qoyod: make every trip a line on the customer’s sales invoice, and note the load’s destination and date in the line’s description.
A transfer for no named invoice
The customer transfers a round amount and does not say which trip it paid for.
With Qoyod: record the transfer with a receipt against the invoice it belongs to, in full or in part, and the rest shows in the customer statement.
Diesel and tyres that leave no trace
You buy diesel every day and tyres every month, and their bills stay in the driver’s drawer or his cab.
With Qoyod: set them up as products of the “Expense” type, and record them on the purchase invoice from the station or the supplier.
Trucks with no value in the books
You bought the trucks years ago, and you do not know how much of their value is left.
With Qoyod: record every truck as a fixed asset, and follow its depreciation and book value, depending on your subscription.
2. One month in your books: from the first load to the diesel bill
Five stops from a working month, each adding a line to the journey card under the route.
Stop 1: You price your trips
Set up the Aqaba trip and the Irbid trip as two products of the “Service” type, each with a default selling price and a unit of measure that you choose or add. A service is not stored and not purchased.
Stop 2: Two loads reach one customer
Put the two trips to Aqaba on a sales invoice in the customer’s name, and attach the two delivery papers. No receipt is on it yet, so it stays on credit.
Stop 3: A transfer for part of the amount
Record the transfer with a receipt against the invoice into the bank account, and the invoice becomes partially paid until the rest arrives.
Stop 4: A diesel bill from the station
Record the fuel station’s purchase invoice with the diesel line you set up as a product of the “Expense” type.
Stop 5: The bill on the truck’s account
Link the diesel bill to the truck registered as a fixed asset from “Asset expenses”, and you find it in the asset’s “Value adjustment” tab.
3. Accounting Software for Trucking in Jordan: what Qoyod covers at your company
E-invoicing and full accounting in one system. Here are six more jobs Qoyod covers at a trucking company, from the trip’s invoice to the truck’s value.
A trip is a service with a price
Set up each trip as a product of the “Service” type: it is not stored and is only sold, with a default selling price and a revenue account that you choose, and it has its tax and a unit of measure, such as distance, that you choose from the list or add. The default price shows on the line and you can change it for each trip.
One invoice with all the customer’s trips
Add the customer’s trips as lines on one sales invoice with “Add more”, and note each load’s destination and date in the line’s description field. From “Attach documents”, you add the signed delivery paper to the invoice.
Transfers against invoices
Each transfer gets a receipt on which you set the collection account: the bank account it reached. If the receipt covers the whole invoice it becomes paid, and if it covers part of it the invoice becomes partially paid. The customer statement shows the customer’s invoices, payments and balance, and the customer ageing report compares their debts across periods. More detail in our guide to paying a credit sale invoice in JoFotara.
Diesel, tyres and repairs
Make diesel, tyres and repairs products of the “Expense” type: they are not stored and not sold, each has a purchase price and an expense account, and you record them on the purchase invoice from the station, the supplier or the repair shop. The supplier statement and the supplier ageing report show what you owe each of them.
Trucks in the asset register
Add each truck as a fixed asset in a category such as “Vehicles”, through its purchase invoice or as an opening balance, and follow its depreciation and book value. With “Add new asset expense” you link diesel and repair bills to it, and they show in the “Value adjustment” tab. Fixed assets and their expenses depend on your subscription.
Trips to each destination
The sales and purchases summary report shows the quantity sold of each service and its average selling price, so if each destination has its own service you see its number of trips in the period and its average freight charge.

Who must use e-invoicing in Jordan
Whether your company is exempt from the invoicing mandate or required to issue invoices, Qoyod keeps the books for your services, purchases, assets and cash, and it is integrated with the National Invoicing System (JoFotara) for when you need it.
5. What you see at month end and what your accountant reviews
If your company works with an accountant or an accounting firm, their view of the accounting software comes before your decision. The question “is my activity exempt?” belongs to your accountant and the Department; the books belong in Qoyod.
What you see
- Each customer’s invoices, payments and balance in the customer statement.
- The transfers that arrived, in the bank account statement.
- The number of trips to each destination in the sales and purchases summary report.
- What you spent on each truck in the “Value adjustment” tab, depending on your subscription.
What your accountant reviews
- Sales and purchase invoices, receipts and credit notes.

7. Frequently asked questions
Do road freight companies have to issue invoices through the National Invoicing System (JoFotara)?
The e-invoicing mandate covers every seller of goods or provider of services, not only those registered for General Sales Tax, except for activities that the Invoicing Affairs Instructions exempt under set conditions. A seller that is not registered issues an income invoice. Mandatory application has been in force since 1 April 2025, with oversight steadily tightening. Other sectors were added to the list in Article (4) of the Invoicing Affairs Instructions by later amendments, so it is not a closed list. Check the text in force for your activity with the Income and Sales Tax Department.

If a business is not required to issue invoices, does that mean it pays no sales tax?
Not by itself. An exemption from the provisions of the Invoicing Regulation, where one applies, does not on its own exempt anyone from General Sales Tax or income tax, each of which has its own law. Check your tax position with your accountant.
How do I record a transfer that does not cover the whole invoice?
Record it with a receipt against the invoice it belongs to, and choose the bank account as the collection account: the invoice becomes partially paid, and the rest stays in the customer statement until you record the next transfer. Qoyod does not support a price list for each customer, so you change the agreed freight charge on the invoice line, or set up a separate service with its own price.

How do I see what I spent on each truck?
Add the truck as a fixed asset, and link the diesel and repair bills to it with “Add new asset expense”: you find them in the asset’s “Value adjustment” tab, depending on your subscription. Depreciation is recorded at the asset level, and Qoyod does not spread it over the trips.
How do I price a trip that is further than usual?
The service price is a default: it shows on the invoice line and you change it for each trip, and you can add a line discount as a percentage or an amount, within the maximum discount percentage set for each user. If you charge by distance, make distance the service’s unit of measure, and the quantity on the line is the number of units.
Does Qoyod manage truck tracking, driver scheduling and waybills?
Qoyod is accounting software, and what this page shows is invoices, receipts, customer balances and purchases, plus fixed assets and their expenses depending on your subscription. Tracking trucks on the road, scheduling drivers and managing waybills are not shown here, so ask sales what fits your company.
That brings a trucking company’s numbers together in one place: every customer’s trips on their invoice, their transfers in the bank, and the diesel bills in each supplier’s statement.
