An invoice for every car, with the cash in the cash box and the card money in the bank.
Whether your car wash is exempt from the invoicing mandate today or required to issue invoices, every wash is a line on an invoice, and every payment a receipt in its own account.
Accounting Software for Car Washes in Jordan starts with a small invoice that repeats all day long. At a car wash in Amman, Irbid or Zarqa, one car comes in for an exterior wash and the next for interior cleaning, and one customer pays in cash while another pays by card. Price each wash service in Qoyod, issue a sales invoice with it for every car, then record the payment with a receipt into the cash box or the bank account.
1. A day at a car wash: where do the numbers scatter?
Before you choose accounting software for a car wash in Jordan, look at an ordinary day there: a line of cars that never stops, cash mixed with card payments, a company that pushes payment to the end of the month, and supplier invoices for the supplies kept somewhere else.
A slip of paper for every car
A worker writes each car on a slip of paper, and a slip or two goes missing before the total reaches the accountant.
With Qoyod: issue a sales invoice for every car, and move to the next one with Save, approve and create new.
The drawer does not match the sales
At the end of the day you count the drawer, and you cannot tell whether the gap was paid by card or never paid at all.
With Qoyod: record the cash you collected with a receipt into the cash box, and card payments into the bank account.
A fleet that pays at month end
A rental or delivery company washes its cars with you all month, and its balance lives in a side notebook.
With Qoyod: record its cars’ washes on credit sales invoices in its name, and its balance shows in the customer statement.
Supplies bought without a trace
Shampoo, wax and towels are bought every week, and their cost shows up nowhere.
With Qoyod: set them up as an “Expense” product that you record on the supplier’s purchase invoice.
2. One day in your books: from the first car to the last figure
Follow a day at the car wash in five stops, each with one line on the journey card.
Stop 1: You price your wash services
Set up each wash service as a product whose type is “Service”, with a default selling price, such as an exterior wash and interior cleaning. A service is neither stored nor purchased.
Stop 2: The first car drives in
Put the exterior wash and the interior cleaning on one sales invoice, and record what the customer paid in cash with a receipt into the cash box, so the invoice shows as paid.
Stop 3: A customer pays by card
The second car gets its own invoice and its receipt goes into the bank account, so the card money never mixes with the cash in the cash box.
Stop 4: A company fleet on credit
Four cars from one company go on one credit sales invoice, and the amount stays on the company’s account until it pays.
Stop 5: The day closes in your books
Set today’s date on the sales invoices page and export the day’s invoices to Excel, then check the account statement for the cash box to see the day’s cash.
3. Accounting Software for Car Washes in Jordan: what Qoyod covers at your car wash
E-invoicing and integrated accounting in one system. Here are six more jobs Qoyod covers at the car wash, from the wash invoice to the fleet account.
Wash services with their prices
Set up each wash service as a product of the “Service” type: it is not stored and is only sold, with a selling price and a revenue account that you set, and it has a unit of measure and its tax. The default price shows on the line and you can change it, and you can give a line discount as a percentage or an amount, within the maximum discount percentage set for each user.
One invoice, then the next car
Add the services as lines on the sales invoice and choose Save, approve and create new, and the next car’s invoice opens. Choosing a payment method on the invoice is a description that does not record the payment: the payment is recorded with a receipt, and then the invoice shows as paid.
The cash box and the bank account
On the receipt you choose the collection account: the cash box for cash, the bank account for card payments. The account statement shows each one’s movements over the period you set, so you can match the cash in the drawer with the cash box balance.
The services in most demand
The sales and purchases summary report shows the quantity sold of each service and its average selling price, and the product sales share report shows each service’s share of the period’s sales, before returns are deducted.
Supplies and equipment
Make shampoo, wax and towels an “Expense” product: it is not stored and not sold, it has a purchase price and an expense account, and it goes on the purchase invoice. Record pressure washers and vacuum cleaners as fixed assets, and follow their depreciation and book value, depending on your subscription.
The fleet company’s account
Issue the company a credit sales invoice for its cars’ washes, record what it pays with a receipt against its invoices, in full or in part, and follow the rest in the customer statement and in the customer ageing report across periods. Who must use e-invoicing in Jordan
Whether your car wash is exempt from the invoicing mandate or required to issue invoices, Qoyod keeps the books for your services, purchases and cash, and it is integrated with the National Invoicing System (JoFotara) for when you need it.
5. What you see when the day closes and what your accountant reviews
If your car wash works with an accountant or an accounting firm, their view on accounting software comes before your decision. The question “is my activity exempt?” belongs to your accountant and the Department; the books belong in Qoyod.

7. Frequently asked questions
Do car washes have to issue invoices through the National Invoicing System (JoFotara)?
The e-invoicing mandate covers every seller of goods or provider of services, not only those registered for General Sales Tax, except for activities that the Invoicing Affairs Instructions exempt under set conditions. A seller that is not registered issues an income invoice. Mandatory application has been in force since 1 April 2025, with oversight steadily tightening. Other sectors were added to the list in Article (4) of the Invoicing Affairs Instructions by later amendments, so it is not a closed list. Check the text in force for your activity with the Income and Sales Tax Department.

If a business is not required to issue invoices, does that mean it pays no sales tax?
Not by itself. An exemption from the provisions of the Invoicing Regulation, where one applies, does not on its own exempt anyone from General Sales Tax or income tax, each of which has its own law. Check your tax position with your accountant.
How do I keep cash payments apart from card payments?
Every payment gets a receipt on which you choose the collection account: the cash box for cash, the bank account for cards. The payment method field on the invoice is a description only and creates no receipt. At the end of the day, the account statement for each one shows what came in.

How do I see the car wash’s sales for a given day?
Open the sales invoices page and choose the date: that day’s invoices appear and you can export them to Excel. For a breakdown by service, use the sales and purchases summary report, which shows the quantity sold of each service and its average price.
How do I handle a company that washes its cars with me and pays at month end?
Record its cars’ washes on credit sales invoices, so its balance shows in the customer statement, then record its payment with a receipt. Qoyod does not support a price list for each customer, so you change the agreed price on the invoice line, or set up a separate service with its own price for that company.
Does Qoyod manage prepaid wash cards and loyalty points?
Qoyod is accounting software, and what this page shows is invoices, receipts, customer balances and purchases. Prepaid wash cards and loyalty points for regular customers are not shown here, so ask sales what fits your car wash.
That brings a car wash’s numbers together in one place: every car’s invoice, the cash in the cash box, the card money in the bank, and every fleet’s balance.
