Pest Control Accounting Software in Jordan

The treatment and the bait stations on one invoice, and what the customer pays on a receipt that settles part of it.

Whether your company is exempt from the invoicing mandate today or required to issue invoices, the treatment is a service and the bait station a product on the same invoice.

Pest Control Accounting Software in Jordan puts what your company leaves at the customer’s place on one invoice: the treatment and the bait stations the team installed. In Amman, Irbid or Zarqa, the team finishes treating a house, the owner pays part of the amount and the rest later. In Qoyod, add each treatment as a “Service” product and the bait station as a product, put both on one sales invoice, and record what the customer pays with a receipt against that invoice.

1. A pest control company in Jordan: where do the numbers slip?

Before you choose accounting software for a pest control company in Jordan, watch one month of its work: bait stations the technicians install that find no line on the invoice, pesticide containers that leave the store with nobody writing down what is left, monthly contracts with restaurants and apartment buildings whose invoices run late, and payments from a building’s management that your accountant cannot match to an invoice.

Bait stations outside the invoice

The technicians install rodent bait stations around the house, then the invoice goes out with the spraying alone, and the stations are never charged.

With Qoyod: set up the bait station as a product with its price, and add it as a second line on the treatment invoice.

Pesticide no one can count

You buy pesticide containers from the supplier, the technicians take some to sites every day, and no one writes down what is left in the store.

With Qoyod: make pesticides stored items whose balance rises with the purchase invoice, then correct it with the actual quantity in an inventory count.

A contract invoice running late

The month ends, the team has sprayed the restaurant’s kitchen and the building’s entrances, but the contract invoice never went out because nobody noticed.

With Qoyod: make the contract’s invoice the base of a recurring transaction with a monthly recurrence, and each month’s invoice is created in the status you chose, depending on your subscription.

Payments with no invoice to match

The building’s management sends one payment this month and another next month, and your accountant cannot tell which invoice each one settled.

With Qoyod: log each payment as a receipt against the invoice it settles, and the balance shows in the customer statement.

2. An apartment building contract, from quotation to pesticide count

An apartment building’s management in Amman asks for a monthly pest control contract. Follow the contract in five stops; each stop writes a line on the journey card.

Stop 1: The building asks for a quotation

Send the management a quotation for the month’s treatment with an expiry date. Stock does not move with it: it stays as it is until the quotation is approved and you convert it into a sales invoice.

Stop 2: You buy pesticide from the supplier

Record the purchase invoice with the quantity of pesticide and the unit price, and its stock balance rises because it is a stored item.

Stop 3: The first month’s treatment is done

Issue a sales invoice for the treatment; it stays on credit until you log a receipt against it for what the management pays.

Stop 4: The invoice repeats every month

Once you approve the first month’s invoice, base a monthly recurring transaction on it and end it either on a set date or after a number of recurrences.

Depending on your subscription

Stop 5: You count the pesticide at month end

Enter the actual quantity of pesticide in an inventory count; the difference from its book balance appears and is posted to the cost account you set for short quantities.

3. Pest Control Accounting Software in Jordan: six tasks from the invoice to the store

Electronic invoicing and integrated accounting in one system. Behind it sit six tasks that belong to a pest control company, and some depend on your subscription, such as recurring transactions and projects.

A treatment and a bait station on one invoice

Set up each treatment you offer, such as crawling-insect spraying or termite treatment, as a product of the “Service” type: it is not stored, it is sold only, and it carries its own selling price, revenue account, unit of measure and tax. Add the bait station as a product at its selling price, then put both on one sales invoice, sold for cash or on credit, changing the unit price on any line when you agree a different figure.

Pesticides in stock

Pesticides and bait stations become stored items: a purchase invoice from the supplier raises their balance, and a sales invoice that sells stations lowers it. For every item, the product cost and margin report gives the available quantity and the average unit cost.

The count shows what the teams used

There is no direct stock issue voucher in Qoyod, so the pesticide your technicians take to sites stays in its balance until you count the store. Create an inventory count for the store’s location, set the cost account for short quantities, and enter the actual quantity of each pesticide; the difference appears at average cost and is posted to that account. For a dedicated pesticides-used account, add it first to the chart of accounts under operating expenses. You can link the count to a project under “Additional information”, and projects are available depending on your subscription.

A contract invoice created every month

Approve the first month’s invoice, then open Accounting and choose Recurring transactions to create one, depending on your subscription. Its fields are the recurrence type (monthly here), the recurrence start date and an end that is either a date or a maximum count, with the approved invoice attached as the document; new invoices can be created as drafts, pending approval or approved. Because Qoyod offers no direct way to add contracts, the documented alternative is a project that holds the contract’s number, start and end dates and value, depending on your subscription.

A quotation for a building or a restaurant

A building’s management or a restaurant owner wants the price of the pest control before signing. Give them a quotation that carries an expiry date, send it or save it as a PDF, and once it is approved, convert it into a sales invoice. A quotation for more bait stations than you hold in stock will not convert.

The customer’s account and what it has paid

Selling to a building’s management on credit leaves the invoice on credit until a receipt is logged against it; record one each time they pay, whether the full amount or part of it. The customer statement shows the balance, and the customer ageing report sets balances side by side across periods. Qoyod does not support a price list per customer, so a price agreed with one building goes on the invoice line itself. 7. Frequently asked questions

Do pest control companies have to issue invoices through the National Invoicing System (JoFotara)?

The e-invoicing mandate covers every seller of goods or provider of services, not only those registered for General Sales Tax, except for activities that the Invoicing Affairs Instructions exempt under set conditions. A seller that is not registered issues an income invoice. Mandatory application has been in force since 1 April 2025, with oversight steadily tightening. More detail in our guide to the JoFotara exemption

If a business is not required to issue invoices, does that mean it pays no sales tax?

Not by itself. An exemption from the provisions of the Invoicing Regulation, where one applies, does not on its own exempt anyone from General Sales Tax or income tax, each of which has its own law. Check your tax position with your accountant.

How do I put the treatment and the bait stations on one invoice?

Under Products and costs, add each treatment as a “Service” product with a default selling price, a revenue account and a unit of measure, and add the bait station as a product at its selling price. On the sales invoice, enter the treatment as a line, then use Add more for the bait stations with their quantity. Each line shows its default selling price, which you can edit. What the customer pays is recorded as a receipt against the invoice.

How do I record the pesticide my technicians use on site?

There is no direct stock issue voucher in Qoyod. Under Products and costs, choose Inventory count, create a count for the store’s location, set the cost account for short quantities, then enter the actual quantity of each pesticide; the difference appears and is posted to that account.

Does Qoyod schedule team visits and assign technicians to sites?

Qoyod is accounting software, and this page covers invoices, receipts, stock, inventory counts and customer balances, plus recurring transactions depending on your subscription. Scheduling visits and assigning technicians to sites are not things this page shows, so ask our sales team what suits your company.

How do I invoice a pest control contract every month without creating the invoice again?

Approve the first month’s invoice, then from Accounting open Recurring transactions, depending on your subscription, and press Create recurring transaction. Set the recurrence type to monthly, give a recurrence start date and an end (a date or a maximum count), attach the approved invoice as the document and pick the status new invoices take. It shows as scheduled before the first recurrence, active after it, and completed once the recurrences are used up.

So a pest control company’s accounts come together in one place: the treatment and the bait stations on one invoice, every customer payment on a receipt, and the pesticide balance in the store.
