One event, and everything you collected for it and spent on it.
Whether your hall is exempt from the invoicing mandate today or required to issue invoices, you record the booking deposit, the invoice for the event and what you spent on it.
Accounting software for wedding and event halls in Jordan starts with one booking: a customer pays a deposit to fix the date, the event takes place weeks later, and what has not been paid stays due. Suppliers prepare the food, the decoration and the sound in between. Add the event to Qoyod as a project, record its deposit as a standalone receipt, then link its invoice and expenses to it.
1. What an event’s numbers are made of
Before you choose accounting software for a wedding or event hall, look at where the numbers of a single event live today: its deposit, its payments, its suppliers’ invoices and what you spent on it.
A deposit before the event
The customer books a date and pays a deposit, the event is months away, and the amount is written in the booking book.
With Qoyod: record it as a standalone receipt in the customer’s name, then allocate it to the invoice of the event.
Payments in parts
Some customers pay in more than one go before the day, and each payment sits on a slip of paper.
With Qoyod: record each payment as a receipt and allocate it to the invoice, and its status moves from partially paid to paid.
The event’s suppliers
Suppliers prepare the food, the decoration and the sound, and each one is owed a payment on a date.
With Qoyod: record each supplier’s invoice as a purchase invoice in its name, and follow what is left to pay and what you have paid.
What an event cost
After the party you do not know what it cost, because its expenses are scattered across many invoices.
With Qoyod: add the event as a project, and link its invoices and expenses to it.
2. An event’s journey through your hall
One event, five stops, from the booking deposit to the result of the party. You see a new number on the journey card at each stop.
Stop 1: The customer books and pays a deposit
Record the deposit as a standalone receipt in the customer’s name. No invoice is needed, and it stays unused until you allocate it.
Stop 2: The event opens as a project
Add the event as a project in “Tasks and Projects” with a reference number, a name and an expected end date, and attach a copy of the contract.
Stop 3: The event takes place and the invoice is issued
Issue a sales invoice with a line for “hall rental” and a per-guest line with the number of guests, and allocate the deposit receipt to it, so that what is still due from the customer goes down. Link it to the event’s project from the “Additional information” tab.
Stop 4: Food and decoration arrive
Record the supplier’s invoice as a purchase invoice in its name, and link it to the event’s project. What you have paid lowers the supplier’s balance, and the rest stays due to the supplier.
Stop 5: Its result shows
In the income statement, choose Advanced Analysis and filter by the event’s project, and its result shows what you recorded against it.
3. Accounting Software for Wedding and Event Halls in Jordan: what Qoyod covers in your hall
Electronic invoicing and integrated accounting in one system. And here are six more jobs Qoyod covers in your hall, for your customers and your suppliers.
The event as a project
Create a project for each event with a reference number, a name, a description, an expected end date and attachments, and link its invoices and expenses to it. Make it private so that only chosen users see it.
The hall and the guest as services
Add hall rental and the cost of one guest as two services, which are sold and not stored. Name the second one’s unit of measure “guest”, give each a revenue account and a default price, and adjust the price on every invoice.
Deposits and payments
Record the deposit as a standalone receipt before the invoice, and allocate it to the event’s invoice later. Whatever arrives in parts, record each payment as a receipt and allocate it. To return an amount the customer paid in advance, create a disbursement voucher for them. More in our guide to collecting a credit sale invoice in JoFotara.
The event’s suppliers
Record a purchase invoice for each food, decoration or sound supplier, and follow its balance and what you have settled. Add your cash and bank accounts, and record receipts and payments on them.
Customers on account
Record companies and families as customers, record the credit sale for whoever pays after the event, and follow what they owe in the customer statement and the customer ageing report.
The hall’s expenses and statements
Record the hall’s expenses, and link whatever belongs to an event to its project. Open the income statement, balance sheet, trial balance and general ledger.
4. Wedding and event halls and the National Invoicing System
Discuss your hall’s position with your accountant.

7. Frequently asked questions
Does a wedding hall have to issue invoices through the National Invoicing System (JoFotara)?
The e-invoicing mandate covers every seller of goods or provider of services, not only those registered for General Sales Tax, except for activities that the Invoicing Affairs Instructions exempt under set conditions. A seller that is not registered issues an income invoice. Mandatory application has been in force since 1 April 2025, with oversight steadily tightening. Other sectors were added to the list in Article (4) of the Invoicing Affairs Instructions by later amendments, so it is not a closed list. Check the text in force for your activity with the Income and Sales Tax Department.

Can I add booking contracts in Qoyod?
Qoyod has no direct feature for adding contracts. What you can do is use a project instead: record the contract number, its start and end dates, its value and its details in the project, and link your invoices and expenses to it.
Do I record the booking deposit before I issue the invoice?
You can. Record it as a standalone receipt in the customer’s name before the invoice, and it stays unused until you allocate it to a sales invoice, whose status then becomes partially paid or paid. If you want to undo an allocation, you can do it from the receipt or from the invoice. To return an amount the customer paid in advance, create a disbursement voucher for them. How to treat it in your books is for your accountant to decide.

How do I see what is left of each event?
Link the event’s invoice and expenses to its project, then open the income statement, choose Advanced Analysis and filter by the project. You see its result from what you recorded against it, and anything you did not link to the project is left out.
Does Qoyod manage the hall’s booking calendar and availability, vendor commissions and a deposit payment schedule?
Qoyod is accounting software. This page shows invoices, receipts, balances, purchases, projects and expenses. The topics in your question are not shown here, so ask sales what fits your hall.
Is the Projects feature available in my plan?
Ask sales whether it is available in your plan. If you see an “upgrade your plan” message when you open Tasks and Projects, it means the feature is not available in your current plan.
That brings the numbers of an event together in your books: its deposit, its invoice, its suppliers and its result.
