Every test has its price, every client on account its balance, every reagent its purchase.
Whether your lab is exempt from the invoicing mandate today or required to issue invoices, its tests, reagents and clients on account have clear figures, in one set of books.
Accounting software for medical labs in Jordan starts with one question: how much do the clinics and hospitals you bill on account still owe you, and how much do you still owe your reagent suppliers? In labs from Amman to Zarqa the numbers are spread across reagent and consumable invoices, price lists and a ledger of balances. Add each test or panel you sell to Qoyod as a service item with its price and tax, and each reagent or consumable you buy as a product with its code and purchase price.
1. A day in a medical lab
Before you choose accounting software for your medical lab in Jordan, look at where your numbers sit today: reagent invoices, test prices and the balances of clients who settle at month end.
Reagents run out mid-week
A reagent or a box of tubes runs out, and nobody knows until the technician needs it.
With Qoyod: give every reagent and consumable a reorder level per location, and watch stock status on the dashboard.
Test prices in more than one file
One price list at reception and another with the accountant, and every employee quotes a different number.
With Qoyod: enter each test as a service item with its price and tax, then bill it on a sales invoice.
What clinics still owe at month end
A clinic sends its tests all month and pays weeks later, and the balances of these clients are scattered across notebooks.
With Qoyod: log credit sales and partial payments, and read what each customer still owes from the customer statement.
What is left to pay the reagent supplier?
Reagents from one supplier and consumables from another, and the balances sit in the suppliers’ own statements.
With Qoyod: each supplier’s balance, and what you have paid, sit in one place.
2. An invoice’s journey through your medical lab
Reagents you buy, a test you sell and an invoice you issue, in five stops that each add a number to the journey card.
Stop 1: Reagents arrive
The reagents and consumables come with a purchase invoice, recorded under the supplier. You have paid some of it, so the remainder stays on that supplier’s balance, and each item’s cost is as you entered it.
Stop 2: A test with its price
You add the test as a service item, with its price, its tax and a code of its own.
Stop 3: A clinic is invoiced
Issue cash and credit sales invoices from Qoyod, with a quantity and a price on every line, and see what has been collected and what customers still owe.
Stop 4: Part settled, part left
The clinic pays part of the credit invoice, so you record a partial payment against it, and the customer statement and ageing report show what the clinic has left to pay.
Stop 5: The revenue shows
Test revenue appears in the income statement, one of the preset reports in Qoyod.
3. Accounting Software for Medical Labs in Jordan: what Qoyod covers in your lab
E-invoicing and accounting, integrated in one system. Here are six more jobs Qoyod covers in your lab.
Tests and panels with their prices
Enter each test or panel as a service item in Qoyod, with its price and tax, and bill it on a sales invoice. Each item’s tax is set on its card, according to what applies to it.
Reagents and consumables
Enter each reagent or consumable as a product with a code and a purchase price, and track its balance and movements per location. A barcode reader speeds up adding items during a stock count.
Reagent suppliers
Purchase invoices from your reagent and consumable suppliers are recorded in Qoyod, with each supplier’s balance and your payments to it.
Accounts for clinics and hospitals
Credit sales to the clinics, hospitals and companies you work with are recorded in Qoyod, and their balances sit in the customer statement and the ageing report.
Branches and locations
Set up each branch of your lab as a location, move reagents and consumables between locations, and give each user permissions by location.
Your items from Excel
Items, opening balances, suppliers and stock counts can be imported from Excel templates.
4. Medical labs and the National Invoicing System
Discuss your lab’s position with your accountant.
Who must use e-invoicing in Jordan
Whether your lab is exempt from the invoicing mandate or required to issue invoices, Qoyod keeps the books for your stock, purchases and cash, and it is integrated with the National Invoicing System (JoFotara) for when you need it.
5. Your accountant shares the decision
If you have an accountant or an accounting firm, hear their view on the software before you decide. “Is my activity exempt from the invoicing mandate?” is a question for your accountant and the Department. The books belong in Qoyod.

7. Frequently asked questions
Does a medical lab have to issue invoices through the National Invoicing System (JoFotara)?
The e-invoicing mandate covers every seller of goods or provider of services, not only those registered for General Sales Tax, except for activities that the Invoicing Affairs Instructions exempt under set conditions. A seller that is not registered issues an income invoice. Mandatory application has been in force since 1 April 2025, with oversight steadily tightening. Other sectors were added to the list in Article (4) of the Invoicing Affairs Instructions by later amendments, so it is not a closed list. Check the text in force for your activity with the Income and Sales Tax Department.

If a business is not required to issue invoices, does that mean it pays no sales tax?
Not by itself. An exemption from the provisions of the Invoicing Regulation, where one applies, does not on its own exempt anyone from General Sales Tax or income tax, each of which has its own law. Check your tax position with your accountant.
Does Qoyod record samples and test results, or connect to analysers?
Qoyod is accounting software. This page shows invoices for tests and reagents, suppliers, customer accounts and the preset reports. Recording samples and results, analyser connections, appointments and patient files are outside what we show here, so ask sales what suits your lab.
Does Qoyod track the expiry dates and batch numbers of reagents?
No. Qoyod has no tracking of batch numbers or expiry dates. What it offers is each item’s balance and movements in every location, and a periodic stock count that shows slow-moving stock before it expires. The expiry date is read from the packaging.
Does Qoyod apply a special price for each clinic I work with?
No. Qoyod does not offer custom price lists or a price per customer. The test price you enter is a default; you can edit the line price on the invoice, or set up the agreed test as its own item with its own price.
A clinic pays at the end of the month. How do I follow its account?
Record the credit sale, then each partial payment against the invoice; the customer statement and the ageing report show what the clinic has left to pay.

That completes the lab’s accounts: tests, reagents, suppliers and the balances of the clinics it bills on account. It answers the question we started with.
