Tire Shop Accounting Software in Jordan

From the new tire to the puncture: one invoice for the tires and the work on them, and one line for a driver with a punctured tire.

The shop fits four tires for a customer, so the tires, the fitting and the balancing are priced together, and a worker repairs a puncture and the driver pays at once.

Tire Shop Accounting Software in Jordan starts with the sales invoice that holds the tires and the work done on them. In Amman, Irbid or Zarqa you define the tire as a product and fitting, balancing and puncture repair as services with default selling prices, then enter a quantity of four on each line and write the tire size in the description field. When a driver comes in with a punctured tire, you issue an invoice of one line for the repair and record the payment with a receipt.

1. From the counter to the books: where do a tire shop’s numbers go missing?

Before you choose accounting software for a tire and puncture shop in Jordan, look at one month in your shop: tires sold at one price and fitting collected in the drawer, cash puncture repairs that leave no trace, a company that buys on credit and whose account is kept with a pencil, and shipments at different prices so you cannot tell what a size cost.

A tire at one price, fitting at another

The customer pays for the tires at the counter and for fitting and balancing to the worker, so the invoice does not show what the shop collected from them in one visit.

With Qoyod: define the tire as a product and fitting and balancing as services, and add them to one sales invoice with the same quantity on each line.

A puncture paid on the spot

The worker repairs the puncture and takes the fee from the driver in cash, so small amounts pile up in the drawer with no invoices.

With Qoyod: make puncture repair a service with a default price, issue an invoice of one line for it, and record the amount with a receipt.

A company’s account in a notebook

A transport or delivery company buys from the shop on credit, its account is written in a notebook, and nobody knows its balance until it is added up by hand.

With Qoyod: leave the company’s invoice without a receipt so it stays on credit, record its payment with a receipt, and open the customer statement report to read its balance due.

Shipments at different prices

The same size reaches the shop from the distributor at one price this time and another the next, so the owner cannot tell what the piece on display cost.

With Qoyod: set up a stored item for each size and record its shipments on purchase invoices, and the product cost and margin report shows the average unit cost.

2. From a tire shipment to the end of the month

One shipment of tires travels through five stops between the day it arrives and the end of the month, and each stop has a row on the journey card.

Stop 1: A shipment of tires arrives from the distributor

Record the purchase invoice in the supplier’s name for eight tires of the same size, so their quantity in stock rises and what you owe the supplier shows.

Stop 2: A driver comes in with a punctured tire

Issue a sales invoice for the puncture repair service alone, then press Pay for the invoice and record the amount with a receipt into the cash box, so it shows as Paid.

Stop 3: A company buys four tires

Issue a sales invoice for the tires and the fitting and balancing services, write the size in the description field, and record no receipt because the company pays later, so the invoice stays on credit.

Stop 4: The company pays at the end of the month

Record its payment with a receipt against the invoice, so it becomes Paid. In the customer statement report you read the company’s invoices, receipts and balance due.

Stop 5: At month end, you review what the tire cost

The product cost and margin report lists the size’s available quantity and an average unit cost taken from the purchase invoice prices.

3. Tire Shop Accounting Software in Jordan: what Qoyod covers in your shop

E-invoicing and accounting integrated in one system. Here are six jobs Qoyod covers in a tire shop, from the fitting fee to the cost of a size.

Tires, fitting and balancing on one invoice

Create the tire as a product with a selling price, and in Products and costs create a service for each job the shop does, such as fitting, balancing and puncture repair, with its default selling price, unit of measure and revenue account. On the sales invoice you enter the quantity for each line, so it is four for the tire and four for fitting, and you change the price there if the job differs. A service is neither stored nor purchased.

The description field for the tire size

Beside the tire’s name on a sales invoice line there is a description field. Write the size in it, or any other detail the customer should see. The text belongs to that invoice alone, so the product does not change, and it has no effect on the price or the accounting entries. It is optional. It appears in the invoice preview and the PDF copy, and on paper when the invoice designer template includes the product description field.

The cost of stored tires

Set each size up as a stored item with a purchase price and a selling price, and enter every shipment with a purchase invoice in the distributor’s name so the quantity in stock goes up. For each item, the product cost and margin report lists the available quantity and an average unit cost from purchase invoice prices.

Paying on the spot and on account

In a puncture repair the driver pays at once, so press Pay for the invoice, choose Create a new receipt, and set the collection account: the cash box, or the bank account where you received the amount, and the invoice shows as Paid. A company that pays later keeps its invoice without a receipt, so it stays on credit; record its payment afterwards with a receipt against the invoice and open the customer statement report to see its invoices, receipts and balance due. For where a receipt voucher stands next to the invoice in Jordan, read Receipt voucher vs invoice in Jordan.

A returned tire

When a customer returns a tire, open its invoice and choose Return invoice, and Qoyod creates a credit note carrying the same details; remove the lines that were not returned. The customer’s balance drops by the value of the note, the original invoice stays with “Returned” next to its status, and stored tires go back into stock. For exchanges in the national system, read Exchange goods in JoFotara.

The company’s price and discounts

There is no price list per customer in Qoyod, so the price you agree with a company goes into the unit price on its invoice line. You can put a percentage or amount discount on the line, and set each user’s maximum discount percentage in the settings.

Some of these capabilities are available depending on your subscription, such as stored items and purchase invoices, so ask sales about them.

7. Frequently asked questions

Do tire and puncture shops have to issue invoices through the National Invoicing System (JoFotara)?

The e-invoicing mandate covers every seller of goods or provider of services, not only those registered for General Sales Tax, except for activities that the Invoicing Affairs Instructions exempt under set conditions. A seller that is not registered issues an income invoice. Mandatory application has been in force since 1 April 2025, with oversight steadily tightening. More in our article on the JoFotara exemption

If a business does not have to e-invoice, does that mean it pays no sales tax?

Not in itself. An exemption of an activity from the invoicing rules, where one exists, does not in itself exempt it from General Sales Tax or income tax; each has its own law. Check your tax position with your accountant.

Does Qoyod keep the DOT code or a serial number for each single tire?

No. A serial number in Qoyod is a unique identifier for the product, entered when the product is created; it is not assigned to each piece. To keep the size or the DOT code with a sale, write it in the description field next to the tire’s name on the sales invoice line. It shows in the invoice preview and the PDF copy and does not touch the price or the accounting entries.

How do I issue one invoice for the tires, fitting and balancing?

Open Products and costs and press Create products and costs, then create the tire as a product and fitting and balancing as services by choosing the product type. Next open Sales, then Sales invoices, create a new invoice, choose the customer, add the tire and enter the quantity, and press Add more to add the two services with the same quantity. Write the size in the description field and press Save and approve. A service takes no quantity out of stock.

How do I invoice a puncture repair the driver pays for on the spot?

Open Products and costs and create a service, then enter its name, unit of measure, tax, default selling price and sales account, and save. Add it to a sales invoice, press Pay for the invoice, choose Create a new receipt, set the collection account, the cash box or the bank, and save, and the invoice shows as Paid. From the save menu choose Save, approve and create new to start the next driver’s invoice.

How do I record what a company that buys on credit pays me?

Issue the company’s invoices with no receipts on them, so they stay on credit. When it pays, open the invoice, press Pay for the invoice, choose Create a new receipt, set the collection account and the amount, in full or in part, and save, and the invoice becomes Paid or Partially paid. In the customer statement report you choose the company and the period, and you read its invoices, receipts and balance due.

That brings a tire shop’s numbers together in one place: each customer’s invoice, the fee for each service, and each company’s account.
