Accounting Software for Laundries and Dry Cleaners in Jordan

Every garment priced. Every customer on balance.

Whether your laundry is exempt from the invoicing mandate today or required to issue invoices, you record each service at its price on one invoice, and each customer on account has a balance.

Accounting software for laundries and dry cleaners in Jordan starts with the invoice: a shirt, trousers and a suit in one order, each with its own price. In a laundry or dry cleaner, from Amman to Irbid, an order arrives with several pieces, one customer pays now and another pays at the end of the month. Define each service in Qoyod with its price, add them as lines on the sales invoice, and follow what you have collected and what each customer still owes.

1. A day in a laundry and dry cleaner

Before you choose accounting software for your laundry in Jordan, look at where your numbers live today: the price list, the notebook of customers on account and the invoices from your detergent suppliers.

A price for each piece

A shirt costs one price, a suit another and curtains a third, and the list lives in a worker’s memory.

With Qoyod: define each service at its default price, pick what fits the order on the invoice, and adjust the price when you need to.

An order with several pieces

Two shirts, trousers and a suit in one order, and the total on a scrap of paper.

With Qoyod: add each service as a line on one sales invoice, cash or credit.

An open account for a customer on credit

A customer sends clothes every week and settles at the end of the month, and the balance sits in a separate notebook.

With Qoyod: you record the credit invoices on the customer’s account, and the balance shows in the customer statement.

Detergents and bags run out

Supplier invoices are scattered, and you do not know what you still owe each supplier.

With Qoyod: record your purchases on purchase invoices, and see each supplier’s balance and what you have paid.

2. A laundry order’s journey through your shop

Stop 1: The service gets its price

Define the service in Qoyod, such as ironing a shirt or cleaning a suit, and set its default selling price. A service is not stored and not purchased, so it needs no purchase price.

Stop 2: The customer pays in advance

When a customer pays an amount before the invoice exists, record it as a standalone receipt in the customer’s name.

Stop 3: The invoice is issued

Add the services as lines on one sales invoice and allocate the receipt to it at delivery.

Stop 4: The rest is collected or stays on account

Issue a cash or credit invoice, and follow what you have collected and what your customer still owes.

Stop 5: It shows in the statement

The order shows in the customer statement, and the invoices still unpaid show in the customer ageing report.

7. Frequently asked questions

Does a laundry or dry cleaner have to issue invoices through the National Invoicing System (JoFotara)?

The e-invoicing mandate covers every seller of goods or provider of services, not only those registered for General Sales Tax, except for activities that the Invoicing Affairs Instructions exempt under set conditions. A seller that is not registered issues an income invoice. Mandatory application has been in force since 1 April 2025, with oversight steadily tightening. More detail in our guide to the JoFotara exemption

If a business is not required to issue invoices, does that mean it pays no sales tax?

Not by itself. An exemption from the provisions of the Invoicing Regulation, where one applies, does not on its own exempt anyone from General Sales Tax or income tax, each of which has its own law. Check your tax position with your accountant.

How do I record my laundry’s services and their prices in Qoyod?

Add each service as a product of the type “service”, with a default selling price and a revenue account, and no purchase price. A service is not stored, and it is used on sales invoices, quotations and credit notes. You can adjust the price on the invoice.

How do I follow a customer who settles at the end of the month?

Record credit invoices for the customer, and they are posted to the customer’s account and the balance shows in the customer statement. Then record the payment with a receipt. The customer ageing report shows the invoices still unpaid, by comparing periods.

Can I record an amount a customer pays before the clothes are handed back?

Yes. Record the amount as a standalone customer receipt before the invoice exists, then allocate it to the sales invoice at delivery.

Does Qoyod track each garment from drop-off to pickup?

Qoyod is accounting software, and what we show on this page is invoices, balances, purchases and assets. Tracking the garment itself between drop-off and pickup is not something we show here, so ask sales what fits your laundry.

That brings the order’s numbers together in one place: the price of each service, the order’s invoice, what you have collected and what your customer still owes.
