Every trip has its project, and every coach has its place in the asset register.
Whether your company is exempt from the invoicing mandate today or required to issue invoices, its trips, vehicles and purchases have clear figures in one set of books.
Accounting software for tourist transport in Jordan starts with three questions: what have your trips brought in, what do tour offices, hotels and groups still owe you, and what do you owe the fuel station and the workshop? Add each trip you sell to Qoyod as a service item with its price and revenue account, then issue the customer’s invoice for the number of trips.
1. A day in a tourist transport company
Before you choose accounting software for your company, look at where your numbers sit today: trip prices, what customers still owe, fuel and workshop invoices, and the coaches.
Trips with scattered prices
An airport transfer, a full day tour and a programme of several days each have a price on a sheet, and all the income lands on one line.
With Qoyod: enter each kind of trip as a service with its price, and link it to its revenue account.
A customer who pays after the trip
The money arrives weeks later, sometimes in dollars or euros, and what each customer still owes is scattered across messages.
With Qoyod: enter the invoice as credit, add each partial payment as it arrives, and use the customer’s currency when it differs.
Fuel, a workshop and a vehicle you borrow
The fuel receipt is in a drawer, the workshop invoice is in a message, and what you owe the transport company whose vehicle you use is on a sheet.
With Qoyod: record each as a purchase invoice under its supplier, and follow what the supplier is still owed and what you have paid.
Coaches that age every year
Coaches and cars are bought in one go, then their value sits in a file that never says how much has gone.
With Qoyod: register them as fixed assets from a purchase invoice, and follow depreciation and book value.
2. A group’s journey through your company
A trip you price, an invoice you issue and costs you tie to the group: five stops that each add a number to the journey card.
Stop 1: A trip with its price
A kind of trip joins Qoyod as a service. It gets a default selling price, a revenue account and its own code, and you pick its unit of measure or create one. A service is never stored and never purchased.
Stop 2: A payment before the trip
When a customer pays an advance ahead of the trip, record it as a receipt voucher in their name with no invoice. It shows as unused until you allocate it to a sales invoice.
Stop 3: The invoice is issued
Open a project in the group’s name, then issue the sales invoice as cash or credit, with the number of trips and the price of one trip on its line. Choose the project in the additional information of the invoice, and allocate the receipt voucher to it.
Stop 4: The group’s costs
Enter the fuel bill and the workshop bill as two purchase invoices, each with an expense item defined in Products and Costs and each under its own supplier, and choose the same project on both, so anything unpaid stays on that supplier’s balance.
Stop 5: Its figures show
Filter the income statement by the project in the advanced analysis, and the income and expenses linked to it appear. What you see depends on every document of the group carrying the project name.
3. Accounting Software for Tourist Transport in Jordan: what Qoyod covers in your company
E-invoicing and accounting, integrated in one system. Qoyod also covers six more jobs in your tourist transport company.
Trips with their prices and revenue accounts
Enter every kind of trip as a service, with a default selling price and the revenue account it posts to. Choose a unit of measure such as distance or hours, or create your own, and edit the price on the invoice when a deal differs. Tax is set on the service card, as it applies.
Quotations and invoices for tour offices and hotels
Send a tour office or a hotel a quotation, and once it is approved in Qoyod convert it into a sales invoice. Record every partial payment, then read the balances in the customer statement and the customer ageing report. For the detail, see our guide to collecting a credit invoice in JoFotara.
Customers who pay in a foreign currency
Create the foreign currency in Settings and change the invoice currency under the customer’s name, and the end of the invoice shows the total in the foreign currency and the total in the base currency. You can change the exchange rate at settlement, and the difference is posted to the account you set for the currency.
A project for each group or contract
Open a project in the name of the group or the contract, choose it in the additional information of the sales invoice, the purchase invoice and the receipt voucher, then filter the income statement by it. Projects are available according to your subscription, so ask sales if you do not see them.
Fuel, the workshop and the people who help
Enter fuel, maintenance and parking bills as purchase invoices, and read each supplier’s balance and your payments to it in the supplier statement. If you use another transport company’s vehicle, or a driver bills you for the fee, set them up as a supplier and enter the claim as a purchase invoice in their name.
Coaches and cars as fixed assets
Register coaches and cars as fixed assets from a purchase invoice, follow each one’s depreciation and book value, and pull the fixed assets register.
4. Tourist Transport and the National Invoicing System
Discuss your company’s position with your accountant.
Who must use e-invoicing in Jordan
Whether your company is exempt from the invoicing mandate or required to issue invoices, Qoyod keeps the books for your services, purchases, assets and cash, and it is integrated with the National Invoicing System (JoFotara) for when you need it.
5. Your accountant shares the decision
If your company has an accountant or an accounting firm, hear their view on the software before you decide. “Is my activity exempt from the invoicing mandate?” is a question for your accountant and the Department. The books belong in Qoyod.

7. Frequently asked questions
Does a tourist transport company have to issue invoices through the National Invoicing System (JoFotara)?
The e-invoicing mandate covers every seller of goods or provider of services, not only those registered for General Sales Tax, except for activities that the Invoicing Affairs Instructions exempt under set conditions. A seller that is not registered issues an income invoice. Mandatory application has been in force since 1 April 2025, with oversight steadily tightening. Other sectors were added to the list in Article (4) of the Invoicing Affairs Instructions by later amendments, so it is not a closed list. Check the text in force for your activity with the Income and Sales Tax Department.

If a business is not required to issue invoices, does that mean it pays no sales tax?
Not by itself. An exemption from the provisions of the Invoicing Regulation, where one applies, does not on its own exempt anyone from General Sales Tax or income tax, each of which has its own law. Check your tax position with your accountant.
How do I add my trips and their prices to Qoyod?
Create each kind of trip as a product of the type “service”. You give it a default selling price and a sales account (the revenue account tied to the service), and no purchase price. Services are not stored, and can be used on sales invoices, quotations and credit notes. Choose the unit of measure from the list or add a new one, and type the number of trips as the quantity on the invoice line.
Does Qoyod show the figures of each trip and each vehicle?
According to your subscription, projects let you open a project for each group or contract, link its sales invoices, purchase invoices and receipt vouchers to it, and filter the income statement by the project, so the income and expenses linked to it appear. What you see depends on every document of the group carrying the project name, and on recording the purchase invoices with an expense item defined in Products and Costs. Qoyod does not spread a coach’s depreciation over trips; what you do get is the depreciation and book value of each vehicle in the fixed assets register. A report of the cost or result of each vehicle is not shown here, so ask sales what suits your company.
How do I record what a customer pays before and after the trip, or in a foreign currency?
Enter the trip as a credit sales invoice and add each partial payment, which moves its status to “Partially paid”. A customer who pays before the invoice exists gets a standalone receipt voucher, shown as unused until you allocate it. For a customer who pays in a foreign currency, create the currency in Settings, change the invoice currency, and change the exchange rate at settlement if it moved. What is sent to the National Invoicing System for a foreign currency invoice is not shown on this page.
Does Qoyod manage bookings, driver allocation, vehicle tracking and tour office commissions?
Qoyod is accounting software. This page shows invoices, balances, purchases, projects, fixed assets and the preset reports. Bookings, allocating drivers to trips, tracking vehicles, fuel cards and tour office commissions are not shown here, so ask sales what suits your company.
That completes the company’s accounts: its trips and prices, what its customers still owe, the invoices for its fuel and workshop, and its coaches.
