One frame. Every colour.
Whether your shop is exempt from the invoicing mandate today or required to issue invoices, each colour has its own balance, once you link its attributes to the product.
Accounting Software for Optical Stores in Jordan starts with one question: how many of this frame are left in each colour? In an eyewear shop, from Amman to Irbid, the same frame comes in black, brown and gold, and accessories come in more than one option. Create attributes such as colour and size in Qoyod and link them to the product, and each combination becomes a sub-product with its own code.
1. A day in an optical shop
Before you choose accounting software for an optical store in Jordan, look at where one frame’s numbers live today: the supplier’s invoice, a stocktake sheet and the colour card on the display.
One frame, three colours
The stock count knows how many frames you have, but not how many are left in black and how many in brown.
With Qoyod: link the colour attribute to the product, and Qoyod creates a sub-product for each colour with its own code.
A deposit before delivery
A customer pays a deposit and collects the glasses days later, so the money sits in your books with no invoice.
With Qoyod: record the deposit as a receipt voucher from the customer before the invoice, then allocate it to the invoice at delivery.
Which supplier still has a balance with you?
Frames and lenses reach you from more than one supplier, and their balances sit in the suppliers’ own statements.
With Qoyod: review each supplier’s balance and what you have paid.
A frame comes back or is swapped for another colour
A customer returns a frame or swaps it for another colour, and the books do not know.
With Qoyod: the frame returns to stock with a credit note, and the replacement goes on a new invoice.
2. A frame’s journey through your shop
One frame, five stops, one new number on its journey card at each.
Stop 1: In from the supplier
Record the frame’s purchase invoice under the supplier and pay part of it, so the rest stays as a balance you owe.
Stop 2: It splits into colours
Link the colour attribute to the product, and each colour becomes a sub-product with its own code.
Stop 3: Its quantity is split
Distribute the frame’s quantity across its sub-products by reclassifying the product attributes, and review the operation in stock movements.
Stop 4: A deposit from the customer
Record the deposit as a receipt voucher from the customer before the invoice, then allocate it to the invoice at delivery.
Stop 5: Handed over on an invoice
Hand the glasses over with a cash or credit sales invoice from Qoyod, and follow what you have collected and what your customer still owes.
3. Accounting Software for Optical Stores in Jordan: what Qoyod covers in your shop
E-invoicing and accounting, integrated in one system. Here are six everyday jobs Qoyod covers in your shop, from the frame to the lens and the accessory.
A colour and a size for each frame
Define colour and size attributes and link them to the product, and each combination becomes a sub-product with its own code, so you can follow its balance.
Fitting as a service on the invoice
Add the fitting fee as a service with its own price and tax, and issue a sales invoice for it with the frame or on its own.
Frames, lenses and accessories
Enter each kind as an item in stock, buy it from its supplier on a purchase invoice, and see each supplier’s balance and what you have paid.
Stock counts with a barcode reader
Add items to a stock count quickly with a barcode reader, and a periodic count shows you the slow-moving items.
Item cost and margin
The product cost and profit margin report shows each item’s cost and margin, and the cost shown is the average cost.
Branches and stock
Add your locations, from the shop to the warehouse and branches, transfer stock between them, and set each user’s permissions by location.
4. Optical stores and the National Invoicing System
Discuss your shop’s position with your accountant.
Who must use e-invoicing in Jordan
Whether your shop is exempt from the invoicing mandate or required to issue invoices, Qoyod keeps the books for your stock, purchases and cash, and it is integrated with the National Invoicing System (JoFotara) for when you need it.

If you work with an accountant or an accounting firm, make the software you choose one they can read before you decide. The question “is my activity exempt from the invoicing mandate?” belongs with your accountant and the Department. The books belong in Qoyod.

7. Frequently asked questions
Does an optical store have to issue invoices through the National Invoicing System (JoFotara)?
The e-invoicing mandate covers every seller of goods or provider of services, not only those registered for General Sales Tax, except for activities that the Invoicing Affairs Instructions exempt under set conditions. A seller that is not registered issues an income invoice. Mandatory application has been in force since 1 April 2025, with oversight steadily tightening. Other sectors were added to the list in Article (4) of the Invoicing Affairs Instructions by later amendments, so it is not a closed list. Check the text in force for your activity with the Income and Sales Tax Department.
More detail in our guide to the JoFotara exemption
If a business is not required to issue invoices, does that mean it pays no sales tax?
Not by itself. An exemption from the provisions of the Invoicing Regulation, where one applies, does not on its own exempt anyone from General Sales Tax or income tax, each of which has its own law. Check your tax position with your accountant.
How do I manage the colours of one frame in Qoyod?
Define an attribute such as colour, put it in a group, then link the group to the product. Qoyod creates a sub-product for each combination with its own code, and each starts at a quantity of zero, so distribute the original product’s quantity across them by reclassifying the product attributes.
Does Qoyod keep a customer’s prescription or follow a lens order at the lab?
This page shows what Qoyod covers in your shop’s books: invoices, stock, suppliers, customer accounts and reports. Prescriptions and lens orders are not covered on this page, so ask the sales team.
Does Qoyod track the expiry dates of contact lenses?
No. Qoyod has no tracking of batch numbers or expiry dates. What it offers is each item’s balance and movements in every location, and a periodic stock count that shows slow-moving stock before it expires. The expiry date is read from the packaging.
How do I record a frame that a customer returns or swaps for another colour?
To take a frame back, issue a credit note from the sales invoice: the quantity returns to stock and the customer’s balance goes down. To exchange it, issue a new invoice for the replacement frame.

That completes the frame’s numbers: its supplier, its colours, its quantity, its deposit and its invoice. That answers the first question.
