An order with an advance, a delivery with its invoice.
Whether your showroom is exempt from the invoicing mandate today or required to issue invoices, each piece has its balance in each location, and each advance has its receipt.
Accounting software for furniture stores in Jordan starts with one question: where is the piece the customer bought, how much has the customer paid, and what is left? In a furniture showroom, from Amman to Irbid, the pieces are split between the display floor and the warehouse, and the customer pays part of the order before delivery. Add each item in Qoyod as a product with its code, purchase price and selling price, and record what you collect from the customer before delivery.
1. A working day in a furniture showroom
Before you choose accounting software for your furniture shop in Jordan, look at where your numbers live today: the warehouse book, the sheet of advances, the delivery fee and the supplier invoices.
One piece in several colours and materials
The same sofa in four colours, and the stock sheet counts it as one piece.
With Qoyod: link colour and material attributes to the product, and Qoyod creates a sub-product for each combination with its own code.
An amount paid before delivery
A customer orders a bedroom set to a specification and pays part of it, and the figure is written on a sheet until delivery day.
With Qoyod: record the amount as a standalone receipt in the customer’s name, then allocate it to the sales invoice at delivery.
The floor is not the warehouse
The piece is in the warehouse while the customer stands on the floor, and each has its own book.
With Qoyod: add your locations and transfer stock between them, and follow each item’s balance in each location.
Delivery and installation outside the invoice
The seller agrees the delivery and installation fee with the customer by word of mouth, so it never appears on the invoice.
With Qoyod: add delivery and installation as a service with its price and tax, and issue a sales invoice for it with the piece or on its own.
2. A piece of furniture’s journey through your showroom
One piece, five stops, one new number on the journey card at each.
Stop 1: It arrives from the supplier
Record the pieces on a purchase invoice in the supplier’s name. What you have paid lowers the supplier’s balance, and the rest stays due to the supplier.
Stop 2: From the warehouse to the floor
Transfer the sofa from the warehouse location to the floor location, and the balance of each location shows on its own.
Stop 3: An advance is collected
When the customer pays part of the order before delivery, record it as a standalone receipt in the customer’s name.
Stop 4: The invoice is issued at delivery
Issue a sales invoice for the sofa and the delivery and installation service, and allocate the receipt to it at delivery, so that what is still due shows.
Stop 5: The income shows
The income shows in the income statement among the ready reports in Qoyod, and what is left on the customer in the customer’s statement.
3. Accounting Software for Furniture Stores in Jordan: what Qoyod covers in your showroom
Electronic invoicing and integrated accounting in one system. And here are six more jobs Qoyod covers in your showroom.
Colours and materials for each piece
Create attributes such as colour and material, link them to the product, and each combination becomes a sub-product with its own code, and you follow its balance.
A location for each store
Add your locations, from the floor to the warehouse and the branches, transfer stock between them, and set each user’s permissions by location.
Advances on orders
Record what you collect before delivery as a standalone receipt in the customer’s name, without an invoice, then allocate it to the sales invoice later. Record partial payments on a credit sales invoice, and follow what is left in the customer’s statement. More in our guide to receipt vouchers and invoices in Jordan.
A quotation before confirmation
Give the customer a quotation, and convert it to a sales invoice once the order is confirmed. A quotation does not affect stock, and quantities are deducted when it becomes an invoice.
Delivery and installation on the invoice
Add delivery and installation as a service with its price and tax, and issue a sales invoice for it with the piece or on its own.
Suppliers and their balances
Enter purchase invoices in each supplier’s name, and review the balance and what you have paid. Record the showroom’s expenses and follow them.
4. Furniture stores and the National Invoicing System
Discuss your showroom’s position with your accountant.
Who must use e-invoicing in Jordan
Whether your showroom is exempt from the invoicing mandate or required to issue invoices, Qoyod keeps the books for your stock, purchases, sales and cash, and it is integrated with the National Invoicing System (JoFotara) for when you need it.
5. Your accountant shares the decision
If you work with an accountant or an accounting firm, their view on accounting software comes before your decision. The question “is my activity exempt from the invoicing mandate?” belongs with your accountant and the Department. The books belong in Qoyod.

7. Frequently asked questions
Does a furniture store have to issue invoices through the National Invoicing System (JoFotara)?
The e-invoicing mandate covers every seller of goods or provider of services, not only those registered for General Sales Tax, except for activities that the Invoicing Affairs Instructions exempt under set conditions. A seller that is not registered issues an income invoice. Mandatory application has been in force since 1 April 2025, with oversight steadily tightening. Article (4) of the Invoicing Affairs Instructions sets out activities that are exempt under conditions. Other sectors were added to the list by later amendments, so it is not a closed list. Check the text in force for your activity with the Income and Sales Tax Department.

If a business is not required to issue invoices, does that mean it pays no sales tax?
Not by itself. An exemption from the provisions of the Invoicing Regulation, where one applies, does not on its own exempt anyone from General Sales Tax or income tax, each of which has its own law. Check your tax position with your accountant.
Can I record an amount a customer pays before the order is delivered?
Yes. Record the amount as a standalone customer receipt before the invoice exists, then allocate it to the sales invoice at delivery.

How do I manage the colours and materials of one piece?
Create attributes such as colour and material, group them, then link the group to the product. Qoyod creates a sub-product for each combination with its own code, and its quantity starts at zero, so distribute the original product’s quantity among them with the product attributes reclassification.
How do I invoice delivery and installation?
Add them as a product of the type “service”: it is not stored, and it is sold only, with a selling price and a revenue account you set. Then add it to the sales invoice of the piece, or issue an invoice for it on its own.
Does Qoyod manage installment sales with a schedule?
What we show on this page for credit sales is a credit sales invoice, partial payments on it, receipt vouchers and a statement for each customer. An installment schedule and tracking of each installment’s due date are not something we show here, so ask sales what suits your showroom. More in our guide to collecting a credit sales invoice in JoFotara.
That brings the showroom’s numbers together in one place: the balance of each piece in each location, what you collected in advance, the delivery invoice, and what is left for your suppliers.
