One scent. All its sizes.
Whether your shop is exempt from the invoicing mandate today or required to issue invoices, each size has its own balance and cost, once you link its attributes to the product.
Accounting Software for Perfume and Cosmetics Stores in Jordan starts with one question: which size of this scent is still on the shelf? In a perfume shop, from Amman to Irbid, the same scent comes in 50 ml and 100 ml, and cosmetics come in many shades. Create attributes such as size and colour in Qoyod and link them to the product, and each combination becomes a sub-product with its own code.
1. A day in a perfume and cosmetics shop
Before you choose accounting software for a perfume shop in Jordan, look at where each bottle’s numbers live today: the supplier’s invoice, a stocktake sheet and the size label on the shelf.
One scent, two sizes
The stock count knows how many bottles you have, but not how many are left in 50 ml and how many in 100 ml.
With Qoyod: link the size attribute to the product, and Qoyod creates a sub-product for each size with its own code.
You buy by the carton and sell by the piece
The scent arrives in a carton and sells piece by piece, so the buying unit is not the selling unit.
With Qoyod: set unit conversion on the item, and Qoyod counts stock in the base unit.
Which supplier still has a balance with you?
Shipments of perfume and cosmetics come from more than one supplier, and their balances sit in the suppliers’ own statements.
With Qoyod: see each supplier’s balance, and what you have paid, in one place.
A bottle comes back or is swapped for another size
A customer returns a bottle or swaps it for another size, and the books do not know.
With Qoyod: the piece returns to stock with a credit note, and the replacement goes on a new invoice.
2. A bottle’s journey through your shop
One bottle of perfume, five stops, one new number on its card at each.
Stop 1: In from the supplier
The bottle arrives on a purchase invoice that you record under the supplier. You paid part of it, so the rest stays on the supplier’s balance.
Stop 2: The scent splits into two sizes
Link the size attribute to the product, and each size becomes a sub-product with its own code.
Stop 3: Its quantity is split
Split the scent’s quantity across the sub-products by reclassifying the product attributes, and the operation shows in stock movements.
Stop 4: A barcode on the pack
Enter the barcode printed on the pack or generate one, and print it from the product page.
Stop 5: Sold on an invoice
Issue cash and credit sales invoices from Qoyod, and follow what you have collected and what your customers still owe.

7. Frequently asked questions
Does a perfume or cosmetics store have to issue invoices through the National Invoicing System (JoFotara)?
The e-invoicing mandate covers every seller of goods or provider of services, not only those registered for General Sales Tax, except for activities that the Invoicing Affairs Instructions exempt under set conditions. A seller that is not registered issues an income invoice. Mandatory application has been in force since 1 April 2025, with oversight steadily tightening. Other sectors were added to the list in Article (4) of the Invoicing Affairs Instructions by later amendments, so it is not a closed list. Check the text in force for your activity with the Income and Sales Tax Department.

If a business is not required to issue invoices, does that mean it pays no sales tax?
Not by itself. An exemption from the provisions of the Invoicing Regulation, where one applies, does not on its own exempt anyone from General Sales Tax or income tax, each of which has its own law. Check your tax position with your accountant.
How do I manage the two sizes of one scent in Qoyod?
Create an attribute such as size, group it, then link the group to the product. Qoyod creates a sub-product for each combination with its own code, starting at a quantity of zero, so split the original product’s quantity across them by reclassifying the product attributes.
I buy perfume by the carton and sell by the piece. Does Qoyod suit me?
Yes. Buy by the carton and sell by the piece: set unit conversion on the item, and Qoyod counts stock in the base unit. Illustration: carton = 12 pieces.
Does Qoyod track the expiry dates of perfume and cosmetics?
No. Qoyod has no tracking of batch numbers or expiry dates. What it offers is each item’s balance and movements in every location, and a periodic stock count that shows slow-moving stock before it expires. The expiry date is read from the packaging.
How do I record a bottle that a customer returns or swaps for another size?
Issue a credit note to take back the piece: the quantity returns to stock and the customer’s balance goes down. To exchange it, issue a new invoice for the replacement item.

That completes the bottle’s numbers: its supplier, its size, its quantity, its barcode and its invoice. That answers the first question.
