A service at its price, a product at its balance, an advance on its receipt.
Whether your salon is exempt from the invoicing mandate today or required to issue invoices, the services, products and suppliers of your salon have clear accounts in one set of books.
Accounting software for beauty salons in Jordan starts with one question: how much did the salon earn from services, how much from care products, and what did you collect before the service and what is still left? In a women’s salon, from Amman to Irbid, the numbers sit between the price list, the invoices of your product suppliers and a sheet of advances. Define each service in Qoyod with its price and tax, each product you sell with its code, purchase price and selling price, and record what you collect from the client before the service.
1. A working day in a women’s salon
Before you choose accounting software for your beauty salon in Jordan, look at where your numbers live today: the price list, the advances, the care products and the supplier invoices.
A long price list
A cut, a colour, styling and a manicure, each with its own price, and the list on a sheet at reception.
With Qoyod: add each service you offer as a service with its price and tax, and issue a sales invoice for it.
An amount paid before the service
A client pays part of the amount before the day of the occasion, and the figure is written on a sheet.
With Qoyod: record the amount as a standalone receipt in the client’s name, then allocate it to the sales invoice at the service.
Care products run out
The colour or the shampoo runs out, and nobody knows until a client asks for it.
With Qoyod: set the reorder level for each item in each location, and follow the stock status on the dashboard.
Supplier invoices and salon expenses
Many suppliers, scattered invoices, and expenses paid from the cash box.
With Qoyod: record purchase invoices and salon expenses, and see each supplier’s balance and what you have paid.
2. A client’s journey through your salon
One client, five stops, one new number on the journey card at each.
Stop 1: The products arrive
Record hair and skin products on a purchase invoice in the supplier’s name. What you have paid lowers the supplier’s balance, and the rest stays due to the supplier.
Stop 2: A service at its price
Define the colour, the cut or the manicure in Qoyod as a service with its price. A service is not stored and not purchased, so it needs no purchase price.
Stop 3: An advance is collected
When the client pays part of the amount before the service, record it as a standalone receipt in her name.
Stop 4: The invoice is issued
Add the service and the product on one sales invoice and allocate the receipt to it at the service.
Stop 5: The income shows
The income shows in the income statement among the ready reports in Qoyod, and what is left on the client in her statement.
3. Accounting Software for Beauty Salons in Jordan: what Qoyod covers in your salon
Electronic invoicing and integrated accounting in one system. And here are six more jobs Qoyod covers in your beauty salon.
Services at their prices
Define each service, from a cut to a manicure, with a default selling price and a revenue account, and adjust the price on the invoice when needed. Set each item’s tax on its card, as it applies to that item.
Products and stock
Add each item you sell as a product with its code, purchase price and selling price, and follow its balance and movement in each location. Use the barcode reader in a stock count to add items quickly.
Suppliers and expenses
Record purchase invoices from your product suppliers, and follow each supplier’s balance and what you have paid. Record the salon’s expenses and follow them.
Advances
Record what you collect before the service as a standalone receipt in the client’s name, without an invoice, then allocate it to the sales invoice later.
Branches and locations
Add your salon branches as locations in Qoyod, transfer stock between them, and set each user’s permissions by location.
The client’s statement
Pull the client’s statement, and follow what you have collected from her and what is left on her.
4. Beauty salons and the National Invoicing System
Discuss your salon’s position with your accountant.
Who must use e-invoicing in Jordan
Whether your salon is exempt from the invoicing mandate or required to issue invoices, Qoyod keeps the books for your services, products, purchases and cash, and it is integrated with the National Invoicing System (JoFotara) for when you need it.
5. Your accountant shares the decision
If you work with an accountant or an accounting firm, their view on accounting software comes before your decision. The question “is my activity exempt from the invoicing mandate?” belongs with your accountant and the Department. The books belong in Qoyod.

7. Frequently asked questions
Does a women’s salon have to issue invoices through the National Invoicing System (JoFotara)?
The e-invoicing mandate covers every seller of goods or provider of services, not only those registered for General Sales Tax, except for activities that the Invoicing Affairs Instructions exempt under set conditions. A seller that is not registered issues an income invoice. Mandatory application has been in force since 1 April 2025, with oversight steadily tightening. Article (4) of the Invoicing Affairs Instructions sets out activities that are exempt under conditions. Other sectors were added to the list by later amendments, so it is not a closed list. Check the text in force for your activity with the Income and Sales Tax Department.

If a business is not required to issue invoices, does that mean it pays no sales tax?
Not by itself. An exemption from the provisions of the Invoicing Regulation, where one applies, does not on its own exempt anyone from General Sales Tax or income tax, each of which has its own law. Check your tax position with your accountant.
Can I record an amount a client pays before the service?
Yes. Record the amount as a standalone customer receipt before the invoice exists, then allocate it to the sales invoice at the service.

How do I add my salon’s services and their prices?
Add each service as a product of the type “service”, with a default selling price and a revenue account, and no purchase price. A service is not stored, and it is used on sales invoices, quotations and credit notes. You can adjust the price on the invoice.
Does Qoyod calculate staff commission?
No. Qoyod does not calculate commission, and you work out each stylist’s share by hand.
Does Qoyod manage bookings and appointments?
Qoyod is accounting software, and what we show on this page is invoices, stock, suppliers and reports. Managing bookings and appointments is not something we show here, so ask sales what fits your salon.
That brings the salon’s numbers together in one place: the price of each service, the balance of each product, what you collected in advance, and what is left for your suppliers.
