The device, the accessory and the service on one invoice.
Whether your shop is exempt from the invoicing mandate today or required to issue invoices, you record in Qoyod what you sell in devices, accessories and services, what you owe your distributors, and what companies owe you.
Accounting software for computer shops in Jordan starts with one invoice that carries a laptop, an accessory and a setup fee. In a computer shop, from Amman to Irbid, it is common to buy from distributors on credit and to sell to companies on credit too. Define the device and the accessory in Qoyod as products with a purchase price and a selling price, define setup and repair as services with their own price, and add them all as lines on one sales invoice.
1. A day in the computer shop
Before you choose an accounting system for a computer shop, look at where your numbers are scattered today: the distributor’s invoice, the price of the device, the setup fee and what companies still owe you.
Three kinds of line on one invoice
The device, the accessory and the setup fee leave the shop on one sheet of paper and reach the books as a single number.
With Qoyod: define the device and the accessory as products and setup as a service, and add them as lines on one sales invoice.
A distributor you owe on credit
You buy the devices from the distributor on account, and the payment dates live in a notebook and in your head.
With Qoyod: record the purchase invoice under the distributor’s name with payment terms and a due date, and follow the balance in the supplier statement.
A company that takes several devices
A company orders several devices and pays in several payments, and what is left sits on a separate sheet.
With Qoyod: issue a quotation and convert it to an invoice, and follow what the company still owes in the customer statement.
The device’s profit and the accessory’s profit
You know what you sold in total, but not the profit on the device or on the accessory.
With Qoyod: the product cost and profit margin report shows each product’s category, location, average cost and margin.
2. A company invoice, line by line
Five stops from the distributor’s invoice to what you collect from the company, and the journey card gains a line at each.
Stop 1: The distributor’s invoice
Three laptops arrive on a purchase invoice under the distributor’s name, with payment terms and a due date. What you have paid reduces the distributor’s balance, the remainder stays recorded against you, and their cost goes into the product’s average cost.
Stop 2: The device line
Add the laptop to the company’s invoice as a product in the devices category, with its quantity and selling price.
Stop 3: The accessory line
Then add the mouse as a product in the accessories category, with its quantity and selling price.
Stop 4: The service line
Then add system setup as a service with a selling price and a revenue account, so it never enters stock and needs no purchase price.
Stop 5: The invoice and what you collect
Issue the invoice on credit to the company, record what it pays you payment by payment, and follow the remainder in the customer statement.
3. Accounting Software for Computer Shops in Jordan: what Qoyod covers in your shop
E-invoicing and accounting, integrated in one system. Here are six more jobs Qoyod covers in a computer shop, for devices, accessories and services.
The device, the accessory and the service
Add devices and accessories as products with a category, a purchase price and a selling price, and setup and repair as services with a unit of measure such as the hour and a selling price, then combine them on one sales invoice.
Cost and margin for every product
The product cost and profit margin report gives each product’s cost and margin, and the cost shown is the average cost.
A quotation for a company
Issue a quotation to a company for devices and services, and convert it to a sales invoice once it is approved. Stock is affected only by the invoice.
Distributors and due dates
Enter purchase invoices under each distributor’s name with payment terms and a due date, and check the balance and the supplier ageing report. An invoice shows as overdue once its due date has passed and something remains on it.
The company’s credit account
Record credit sales on the company’s account and what it pays you as partial payments, and check the statement and the customer ageing report. More in our guide to collecting a credit sales invoice in JoFotara.
An advance for a part you order
If a customer pays up front for a part you order for them, record the payment as a receipt voucher in their name, then allocate it to the part’s invoice when it arrives. More in our guide to receipt voucher vs invoice in Jordan.
4. Computer shops and the National Invoicing System

Who must use e-invoicing in Jordan
Whether your shop is exempt from the invoicing mandate or required to issue invoices, Qoyod keeps the books for your stock, purchases and cash, and it is integrated with the National Invoicing System (JoFotara) for when you need it.
5. Your accountant reads the shop’s books
If your shop has an accountant or an accounting firm, hear their view before you decide on the software. The question “is my activity exempt?” is answered by your accountant and the Department, and the shop’s books belong in Qoyod.

7. Frequently asked questions
Does a computer shop have to issue invoices through the National Invoicing System (JoFotara)?
The e-invoicing mandate covers every seller of goods or provider of services, not only those registered for General Sales Tax, except for activities that the Invoicing Affairs Instructions exempt under set conditions. A seller that is not registered issues an income invoice. Mandatory application has been in force since 1 April 2025, with oversight steadily tightening. Other sectors were added to the list in Article (4) of the Invoicing Affairs Instructions by later amendments, so it is not a closed list. Check the text in force for your activity with the Income and Sales Tax Department.

Does Qoyod track a serial number for every device?
No. The serial number in Qoyod is a unique code per product, not per unit. If you want a record for one particular device, add it as its own product and note the number printed on it in the product’s additional fields.
How do I invoice a laptop, an accessory and a system setup on one invoice?
Add the laptop and the accessory as products and the setup as a service item: it is not stocked and is only sold, with a selling price and a revenue account that you set. Then add them as lines on one sales invoice, or invoice the service on its own.
How do I follow what I owe a distributor and when it is due?
Enter the purchase invoice under the distributor’s name and set the payment terms and the due date. Record what you pay one payment at a time, so the invoice shows as partially paid until it is settled, and the distributor’s balance appears in their statement and in the supplier ageing report.
Does Qoyod manage device warranties and repair orders?
Qoyod is accounting software, and what we show on this page is invoices, balances, purchases and reports, with a repair service sold as a line on the invoice. Following a device’s warranty, a repair order or the device’s status in the workshop is not something we show here, so ask sales what suits your shop.
Does Qoyod manage installment sales with a schedule?
What we show on this page for credit sales is a credit sales invoice, partial payments on it, receipt vouchers and a statement for each customer. An installment schedule and tracking of each installment’s due date are not something we show here, so ask sales what suits your shop. More in our guide to collecting a credit sales invoice in JoFotara.
That completes the shop’s invoice: its device, its accessory and its service, what you owe the distributor and what the company owes you.
