Parts and labour, on one invoice.
Whether your center is exempt from the invoicing mandate today or required to issue invoices, each car gets one invoice with its parts and its labour.
Accounting software for car service centers in Jordan starts with one invoice: parts and a labour charge on adjacent lines. In a garage, workshop or service center, from Zarqa to Aqaba, the customer leaves with one amount, and the owner wants to know how much of it is parts and how much is labour. Add each part to Qoyod as a product with its code, purchase price and selling price, set up labour as a service, and issue one invoice for both.
1. A day in a car service center
Before you choose an accounting system for a car service center, look at where your numbers live today: the intake slip, the parts notebook and the suppliers’ invoices.
Parts and labour in one amount
The customer pays one amount, and you cannot see how much of it is parts and how much is labour.
With Qoyod: add the parts and the labour as lines on one sales invoice, each with its own price.
Parts run out mid-job
Oil or a filter runs out, and you find out with the car already on the lift.
With Qoyod: set a reorder level for each part in its location, and its stock shows in the dashboard.
The car’s invoice sits in a file
A car comes back a month later, and its last invoice is in some folder.
With Qoyod: the customer’s invoices show in the customer statement.
A company with several cars
A company customer has its cars serviced on account, and its balance sits in a separate book.
With Qoyod: record credit invoices on its account, and follow its balance in the customer statement and the ageing report.
2. An invoice’s journey from the part to the balance
There are five stops from the part arriving to the customer’s balance, and the invoice card gains a new line at each.
Stop 1: The parts arrive
The parts arrive on a purchase invoice entered under the supplier’s name, so the supplier’s balance and what you have paid show. Their cost goes into the part’s average cost.
Stop 2: You set up the labour
Set up labour as a service with a selling price and a revenue account, and choose its unit of measure, such as the hour. A service is not stocked and not purchased.
Stop 3: You open the invoice
Add the parts and the labour as lines on one sales invoice.
Stop 4: You issue it and collect
Issue the invoice, cash or on credit, and follow what you have collected and what your customer still owes.
Stop 5: The balance shows
What is left on the customer shows in the customer statement, and unpaid invoices show in the customer ageing report.

7. Frequently asked questions
Does a car service center have to issue invoices through the National Invoicing System (JoFotara)?
The e-invoicing mandate covers every seller of goods or provider of services, not only those registered for General Sales Tax, except for activities that the Invoicing Affairs Instructions exempt under set conditions. A seller that is not registered issues an income invoice. Mandatory application has been in force since 1 April 2025, with oversight steadily tightening. Other sectors were added to the list in Article (4) of the Invoicing Affairs Instructions by later amendments, so it is not a closed list. Check the text in force for your activity with the Income and Sales Tax Department.

Does Qoyod manage work orders and technician schedules?
Qoyod is accounting software, and what we show on this page is invoices, balances, purchases and assets. Opening a work order for each car, following its status and logging technician hours are not shown here, so ask sales what fits your center.
How do I invoice parts and labour together?
Add each part as a product with a purchase price and a selling price, and add the labour as a service item: it is not stocked and is only sold, with a selling price and a revenue account that you set, and you can set its unit of measure. Then add both as lines on one sales invoice, cash or on credit.
Can I set a special price for a company customer?
No. Qoyod does not support custom price lists or a special price for each customer. What you can do: change a line’s price on the invoice, or set up the agreed item as its own product with its own price.
How do I record an amount a customer pays before the car is handed back?
Record the amount as a receipt voucher from the customer before the invoice exists, then allocate the receipt voucher to the sales invoice at handover.

How do I record a part a customer returns, or one I send back to a supplier?
For a stored part the customer returns, issue a credit note from the sales invoice, so its quantity returns to stock and the customer’s balance goes down. For a stored part you send back to a supplier, issue a debit note from the purchase invoice, and its quantity is reflected in stock.
