A project for every crop, a balance for every customer, depreciation for every machine.
Whether your business is exempt from the invoicing mandate today or required to issue invoices, you record the season’s expenses, your customers’ invoices and your machinery in Qoyod, and each customer’s balance stays in front of you.
Accounting software for farms in Jordan starts with the season: expenses you pay before the harvest, invoices you issue after it, and machinery that works through both. On a farm that buys its inputs from suppliers and sells its crop to customers who settle after delivery, create a project in Qoyod for each crop, record its expenses and sales invoices on it, and follow each customer’s balance.
1. Where do a season’s numbers scatter?
Before you choose farm accounting software in Jordan, look at where one season’s numbers live today: its expenses, the store of its inputs, what is still owed by its customers, and its machinery.
Season expenses across notebooks
The irrigation expense is in one notebook and the workers’ wages in another, so you cannot see what each crop cost.
With Qoyod: create a project for each crop, and record its expenses on it from a purchase invoice, a simple invoice or a manual journal entry.
An input store with no balance
Seeds, fertilisers and feed reach the store across the season, and you do not know how much is left of each item.
With Qoyod: add each item as a stored product with a unit of measure, and its balance and average cost show, while a reorder level alerts you.
A customer who settles after the season
The customer takes the crop today and settles weeks later, and what remains owed gets lost among your papers.
With Qoyod: sell on account, and follow each customer’s balance from their statement and from the customer ageing report.
Machinery with no record
The tractor, the pump and the irrigation equipment have no book value and no depreciation.
With Qoyod: record machinery and equipment as fixed assets with a value and a useful life, and follow their depreciation and book value.
2. One season in your books: from the project to the customer’s balance
One crop, five stops, one new number on the crop numbers card at each.
Stop 1: You open the crop’s project
In “Tasks and Projects”, add a project named after the crop or the field, and its expenses and invoices are loaded on it.
Stop 2: You record its expenses
Record the crop’s purchases of seeds, fertilisers and fuel on a purchase invoice or a simple invoice, with the products set as not stored so each is recorded as an expense when you buy it, and workers’ wages in a manual journal entry, and link each to the project from “Additional information”.
Stop 3: You sell it to a customer on an invoice
Issue your customer a sales invoice with the quantity and the price, and link it to the project from “Additional information” too.
Stop 4: You follow the customer’s balance
Record what you collect on a receipt voucher allocated to the invoice, and what the customer has not settled stays in their balance.
Stop 5: You read the crop’s result
Open the income statement filtered by the project in “Advanced analysis”, and the expenses and invoices you linked to it appear.
3. Accounting Software for Farms in Jordan: what Qoyod covers on your farm
E-invoicing and integrated accounting in one system. And here are six more jobs Qoyod covers on your farm, from a crop’s expenses to your machinery.
A project for every crop
Create a project for each crop or field, and view sales and purchase invoices filtered by the project. Make a project private so only chosen users see it. Projects are available depending on your subscription, so ask sales which one includes them.
Crop expenses
Link an expense to its project from a purchase invoice, a simple invoice or a manual journal entry, and pull a project’s expenses from the account statement filtered by the project. A product that is not stored is recorded as an expense when you buy it, while the value of a stored one enters stock and does not appear as an expense on the project when you buy it.
The input store
Add seeds, fertilisers and feed as stored products with a unit of measure, and Qoyod shows each item’s balance and average cost. A balance changes with purchases, sales, transfers and stock counts. Quantities move between locations with a stock transfer, and the product locations report shows the balance in each location. Set a reorder level for an item in a location, and the dashboard alerts you when it is reached. The number of locations varies by your subscription.
The season’s customers
Sell on account, then record what a customer pays on a receipt voucher that you allocate to their invoices. You follow each customer’s balance from their statement, and their ageing from the customer ageing report, which compares debts across weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly periods.
Input suppliers
Record purchase invoices from your suppliers, and follow each supplier’s balance and what you have paid them, before the season and after it.
Land and machinery
Record land, machinery, irrigation equipment and vehicles as fixed assets, and follow the depreciation of what depreciates and its book value. Depreciation is recorded as an expense at the level of the asset. Fixed assets are available depending on your subscription.
4. Farms and agricultural companies and the National Invoicing System
Discuss your business’s position with your accountant.
Who must use e-invoicing in Jordan
Whether your business is exempt from the invoicing mandate or required to issue invoices, Qoyod keeps the books for your projects, stock, purchases, assets and cash, and it is integrated with the National Invoicing System (JoFotara) for when you need it.
5. Your accountant shares the decision
If your farm works with an accountant or an accounting firm, their view on accounting software comes before your decision. The question “is my activity exempt from the invoicing mandate?” belongs with your accountant and the Department. The books belong in Qoyod.

7. Frequently asked questions
Does a farm have to issue invoices through the National Invoicing System (JoFotara)?
The e-invoicing mandate covers every seller of goods or provider of services, not only those registered for General Sales Tax, except for activities that the Invoicing Affairs Instructions exempt under set conditions. A seller that is not registered issues an income invoice. Mandatory application has been in force since 1 April 2025, with oversight steadily tightening. Other sectors were added to the list in Article (4) of the Invoicing Affairs Instructions by later amendments, so it is not a closed list. Check the text in force for your activity with the Income and Sales Tax Department.
More detail in our guide to the JoFotara exemption
If a business is not required to issue invoices, does that mean it pays no sales tax?
Not by itself. An exemption from the provisions of the Invoicing Regulation, where one applies, does not on its own exempt anyone from General Sales Tax or income tax, each of which has its own law. Check your tax position with your accountant.
How do I see what I have recorded on each crop?
Open “Tasks and Projects”, then “Projects”, and create a project named after the crop or the field. Record its expenses from a purchase invoice, a simple invoice or a manual journal entry, and link the invoices that sell it to the project from the “Additional information” tab of each document. Then open the income statement, choose “Advanced analysis”, and select the project in the filter options, and the expenses and invoices you linked to it appear. The result is only as complete as your links, because an expense or an invoice with no project does not appear in it. Qoyod does not print the project name on a printed invoice unless you add an additional field for it. Projects are available depending on your subscription, so ask sales which one includes them.
How do I record farm workers’ wages against a crop?
Record the wages in a manual journal entry, and assign it to the crop’s project from the “Additional information” tab below the entry. The payroll run in Qoyod Accounting cannot be linked to a project.
Does Qoyod track biological assets and livestock?
Qoyod is accounting software, not an enterprise resource planning system. Tracking by batch number or expiry date is not available in Qoyod, so you record damaged or missing goods as a difference in a stock count. Biological assets, livestock, estimating output before the harvest and agricultural subsidies are not shown on this page, so ask sales what fits your farm.
How do I follow the fertilisers and feed that I store?
Open “Products and costs” and add the item as a stored product with a unit of measure, and Qoyod works out its average cost from your purchase invoices and shows its balance in each location. Set a reorder level to receive an alert on the dashboard. If the store falls short or something in it is damaged, open “Stock count”, choose the location and enter the actual quantity, and Qoyod works out the difference and records it with an accounting entry. For an item whose balance you do not follow, make it a product that is not stored, and its value is recorded as an expense when you buy it. Choose this when you create the item, because it cannot be changed once it has movements.
That brings a farm’s books together in one place: each crop’s project, each customer’s balance and each machine’s depreciation.
