Arbitration Center Accounting Software in Jordan

One case, and every party in it on its own account.

Whether your center is exempt from the invoicing mandate today or required to issue invoices, each party keeps its own vouchers and invoice, and one project for the case holds them together.

Arbitration center accounting software in Jordan starts with a case and its parties. Each party may pay an advance, you may pay an arbitrator or an expert their fee, and then you invoice your center’s fee. Add a project for the case in Qoyod, record each party’s advance as a voucher in its name, and link to the project the arbitrator’s invoice and your center’s fee invoices.

1. Where do one case’s numbers scatter?

Before you choose accounting software for an arbitration or mediation center, look at how one case is spread across your books today: several parties, advances, arbitrators’ fees and your center’s fee.

Several parties in a single case

Each party has its own amount, invoice and balance, so it is hard to see any of them alone.

With Qoyod: each party is a customer with its own vouchers and invoices, and the account statement filters down to what concerns it in the case.

Money arrives before the case is complete

A party pays an advance, and it blends in with what reached you from the parties to other cases.

With Qoyod: it goes in as a receipt voucher in its name, separate from any invoice, and stays “unused” until you allocate it to one.

An arbitrator’s fee on a slip far from the case

You pay an arbitrator or an expert their fee, and it does not show beside the case it belongs to.

With Qoyod: you record it on a purchase invoice in their name and pick the case’s project.

Cases running side by side

Cases keep arriving, and you cannot tell which invoice or payment belongs to which.

With Qoyod: filter your invoices by project to see what each case holds.

2. One case in your books: from a party’s advance to the fee invoice

Five stops for one case, and a new document on the documents card at every stop.

Stop 1: You add a project for the case

From “Tasks and Projects” add a project named after the case. It has a reference number you can change, a description, an expected end date and attachments of its own.

Stop 2: Each party pays an advance

Each party gets a receipt voucher in its name with no invoice behind it, shown as “unused” until you allocate it. You link the voucher to the case’s project from “Additional information”.

Stop 3: You record the arbitrator’s fee

Enter what you pay an arbitrator or an expert on a purchase invoice in their name, or as a manual journal entry or a simple invoice, and pick the project in “Additional information”. A purchase invoice needs an expense item defined beforehand in “Products and costs”. Then pay it in full or in part.

Stop 4: You issue your center’s fee invoices

Make your center’s fee a service line at a price you control, issue each party its own invoice, set the project in “Additional information”, then allocate that party’s advance to it.

Stop 5: You review the case in the reports

Open the account statement for one party and set the project to see what happened on its account in the case, or open it for one arbitrator to see theirs. Then filter the income statement by the project from “Advanced analysis”. Your accountant reviews what shows in the reports.

3. Arbitration Center Accounting Software in Jordan: what Qoyod covers in your center

Electronic invoicing and integrated accounting in one system. Alongside it, Qoyod handles six more jobs in your center, starting with its fee and ending with the case’s income statement.

Your center’s fee as a service with a price you can change

Each type of fee is a service that you define with a category, a unit of measure, a default selling price and a revenue account. A service is not stored and has no purchase price, and you can change its price on each party’s invoice.

A project for each case you follow

Open a project for each case you want to follow. It takes a name, a description, a reference number you can change, an expected end date and attachments, and if you make it private only the users you choose will see it.

Each party as a customer with its own account

Record the party as a customer, take its advance in a receipt voucher in its name that stays unused until you allocate it to an invoice, then issue it its own invoice. To give back an amount a party paid in advance, use a payment voucher.

The arbitrator’s and the expert’s fees

Record what you pay on a purchase invoice in their name, manually, or on a simple invoice, then link it to the case’s project. A purchase invoice relies on an expense item defined beforehand in “Products and costs”. Which accounts take these amounts is for your accountant to decide.

The account statement for one party in one case

In the account statement report, filter by the customer and then the project, and the view narrows to what reached that party’s account and was linked to the case. Filter by a supplier instead and it shows an arbitrator’s account. Whatever is not linked to the project does not appear. The ageing report compares the parties’ debts between periods.

The case’s income statement

In the income statement choose “Advanced analysis” and filter by the project to read what was recorded on the case. The project’s own page covers the current year only, so for a case that runs longer, take the statement from Reports and set the period.

Whether your center is exempt from the invoicing mandate or required to issue invoices, Qoyod keeps the books for your services, projects, purchases and cash, and it is integrated with the National Invoicing System (JoFotara) for when you need it.

5. Your accountant shares the decision

If you work with an accountant or an accounting firm, their view on accounting software comes before your decision. The question “is my activity exempt from the invoicing mandate?” belongs with your accountant and the Department. The books belong in Qoyod.

7. Frequently asked questions

Does an arbitration center have to issue invoices through the National Invoicing System (JoFotara)?

The e-invoicing mandate covers every seller of goods or provider of services, not only those registered for General Sales Tax, except for activities that the Invoicing Affairs Instructions exempt under set conditions. A seller that is not registered issues an income invoice. Mandatory application has been in force since 1 April 2025, with oversight steadily tightening. More detail in our guide to the JoFotara exemption

If a business is not required to issue invoices, does that mean it pays no sales tax?

Not by itself. An exemption from the provisions of the Invoicing Regulation, where one applies, does not on its own exempt anyone from General Sales Tax or income tax, each of which has its own law. Check your tax position with your accountant.

How do I tie each party’s advance and the arbitrator’s fee to my center’s fee invoices?

First add a project for the case in “Tasks and Projects”. Then create a receipt voucher in each party’s name for its advance, with no invoice behind it, which shows as “unused” until you allocate it to one. You can link the voucher to the project from “Additional information”. Then enter the arbitrator’s fee on a purchase invoice in their name, or as a manual journal entry or a simple invoice, picking the project in “Additional information”. On each party’s invoice, add a service line at the price you set, pick the project there too, and allocate that party’s advance to it. Allocation only works when the voucher’s currency matches the invoice currency.

Does Qoyod take arbitrators’ fees out of the amounts the parties paid?

This page does not cover a mechanism that takes arbitrators’ fees out of the parties’ amounts, or how those amounts are treated in the books, which is for your accountant to decide. What we do show is a receipt voucher in each party’s name that stays “unused” until you allocate it to an invoice, and a purchase invoice for the arbitrator that you pay in full or in part, each linked to the case’s project. Ask sales what fits your center.

How do I see one party’s account in one case?

Open “Account statement” from Reports. For a party, select the debtors account, then customers as the filter type, then its name, then the project. The report shows only the operations that reached its account and carry that same project. For an arbitrator, select the creditors account, then suppliers, then their name, then the same project. Tasks and Projects depends on your subscription: if an “upgrade your plan” message appears when you open it, the feature is not part of your current subscription, so ask sales.

Does Qoyod register cases, schedule hearings or calculate fees by the value of the dispute?

Qoyod is accounting software, and what we show on this page is invoices, vouchers, projects and purchases. Registering cases, scheduling hearings, appointing arbitrators, fee tables by the value of the dispute, an institution’s rules and distributing fees across parties by percentages are not shown here, so ask sales what fits your center.

That leaves every case with its own project, every party with its own vouchers and invoice, and the arbitrator with a purchase invoice.
